Hell Yea Good Old Days!!!
* Leaded gasoline made cars go Varrrooom Varrrooom!
* Lead in paint made it washable and durable. (less work and really only idiots lick walls)
* Asbestos is fire resistant so you could barbecue real close to the house and cover it in that smoky deliciousness.

You never drove a Tesla Model S.

Children lick everything.
* Asbestos is fire resistant so you could barbecue real close to the house and cover it in that smoky deliciousness.
Agree on point three.

I've zero interest in Tesla cars.
I want carburetors and fossil fuels plus I want absolutely zero computer components in my car. I like my cars like I my like sex.. strictly analog!

No wonder Fallout is based on the '50s. Most wonder things are. Damn Cold War, why did it end?

Tesla is cool but it drives itself, not much fun; and instead of leaded fuel, try real Hi-Octane (blue) or aircraft-grade.
Gramma had a Galaxie, that was sweet... while gas was cheap as dirt. Dang Saudis!
Second, maybe your kids lick, in my house that never happened - Well, there's always one bad sheep in every family, but we dumped him.
Third, disagree. I want my barbecue smoking out, while keep my stuff neat inside. Lock windows and turn on A/C.
The old lady will scold the crap out of us if her sewing or curtains get gravy and smoked beam fragrance all over.

I love the cold war! Not only did it give us peace but also great stuff too. My Grandmother told me that her parent's fallout shelter was also her magic get drunk and let a boy "touch you" hut.

I admit from a technology point of view a Tesla looks cool. However the car is also a surveillance spy machine that builds a database of everywhere you go and probably soon everything you'll do while in it.
With gasoline I can pay cash at a pump and go wherever I want and do whatever I want in my car. Plus you have to consider that even if they build a 10k horsepower Tesla the electronics on it won't allow the car to break the speed limit. (And if you do it'll call the police and rat you out)

Now you're talking common sense!
I'll also add that it would be great if you could modify a car and drop in it a giant 24 piston aircraft engine! Imagine a giant 1950s car with WW2 fighter plane engine in it. --- DAMN I'M IN LOVE!

If a kid is stupid enough to lick the walls then perhaps it's a good idea to just let him keep on licking the leaded paint.

But you've got to admit that the smell of a nice juicy thick steak cooking over hickory wood is a beautiful thing to experience.

The Tesla will hint the pigs? Well, not exactly my posse, you know what I mean...
I suppose the Musk-mobile will also call the local preacher if I try to touch a nice girl on the back seat (since modern cars don't have room for front-seat woe).
And while I admit good food is a sensorial thing, I live in a small residence, can't sleep well with my "air stream" all smelling for a week.

Did anyone honestly believe that the Musk-mobile would NOT be spyware?

A few years ago I restored a 1958 Buick and you could have an orgy in that machine!
Damn I miss that car!

I'm really strange because I absolutely adore the past and somehow what things smell like is part of my obsession.

Nowadays almost every car is spyware; VW has Composition Touch, Ford has Sync, GM MyLink, and so on; can't even have a Jeep without that crap.
Only advantage od driving the "car-wannabes" here in South was the total lack of electronics, but that also changed. Now we've 3-cylinder eco-friendly hatches.
