If you access TPB via a proxy, chances are your proxy is fucking with the magnet links and rendering them unusable. eg. hidemyass makes them look like

which is what they're supposed to look like. It's not just looks either, they won't work unless they look right.

Fortunately there is a relatively easy way around that. Hopefully, someone will fix the problem of course but, until then:

1. double click on the Info Hash (it's displayed on the torrent details page now, just look for it. And double click on the value of course, not on the field label.)

2. right click and select Copy

3. Open your torrent client and select File > Add torrent from URL (if you're using uTorrent 2.x; adjust if you're using something else or do yourself a favour and switch to uTorrent 2.0.4 which is the best version of the best torrent client there is)

4. Type magnet:?xt=urn:btih: then paste the torrent hash and click OK.

Optionally, immediatly after the torrent hash and before clicking OK, you could type (or better yet, copy and paste) in &tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.ccc.de%3A80

Replace Everything in the [] brackets, including the brackets with the Info Hash. Go to http://convertcase.net to convert Info Hash to lowercase (uppercase didn't work for me).

My proxy site and (some other also) support magnet links so its not true that all proxy sites not support magnet links. snip!<</mod. is my proxy site

I did notice that another torrent app I had Shareaza worked when clicking on the magnet (fiance downloaded it, I only use utorrent) but even after uninstalling that one, utorrent wouldn't even open when clicking the magnet. Hoping it gets fixed soon but for now will use the long way posted here since it works. And thank you for the note about capitals, it wouldn't work until I changed all the letters to lower case.

Hi everyone,
new to TPB and I'm having this problem with magnet links:
After clicking on "get this torrent" my Torrentclient "qBittorrent v5.0.4 opens up and it searches for metadata, but doesn't find any.
Did I miss something? Yesterday it did work but not on every file I chose.

Not 100% sure that it will help. But I just click OK right away, the search for meta etc. is done anyway. If it doesn't find any seeders, there will be no Meta.

Anyway, that's what I do.

That file is downloaded from torrenting.com and there's no seeds on there. I was able to get a 720p pack of this series tho McConner, what episodes did you need? I can repost for you to grab of your ok with 720p.

Ha proxyn keresztül éri el a TPB-t, akkor valószínű, hogy a proxyja megbasztja a mágneses hivatkozásokat, és használhatatlanná teszi őket. például. A hidemyass úgy néz ki, mint amilyennek kellene kinézniük. Ez nem csak a megjelenés, hanem csak akkor működik, ha jól néznek ki. Szerencsére van egy viszonylag egyszerű módja ennek. Remélhetőleg persze valaki megoldja a problémát, de addig: 1. kattintson duplán az Info Hash-re (most látható a torrent részletes oldalán, csak keresse meg. És kattintson duplán az értékre, ne a mező címkéjére.) 2. Kattintson jobb gombbal, és válassza a Másolás lehetőséget . 3. Nyissa meg a torrent klienst, és válassza a Fájl > Torrent hozzáadása az URL-ről menüpontot (ha uTorrentet használ, és módosítsa valami mást, ha uTorrentet használ. uTorrent 2.0.4, amely a létező legjobb torrent kliens legjobb verziója) 4. Írja be a magnet:?xt=urn:btih: parancsot, majd illessze be a torrent hash-t, és kattintson az OK gombra.
