Where to get a bnc?

Where can a person get a BNC for IRC chat?
I've tried this - http://bnc4free.com/?page_id=385
I can't seem to get one from there, probably because I'm not doing something right and no one on their chat channel has responded to my request for help, after waiting for 5 hours I've given up. Is there any other options?

Not for the IP hiding feature.

But if you like to stay connected 24/7 or from multiple locations, it is the way to go.


You can get a decent service for less than $5 US a month. I have been using ispeeds.net with no complaints.

Thank you for the reply and providing me with another option. It looks as if ispeeds.net provides installation instructions, not so sure about the BNC setup, as this is all somewhat foreign to me. I'll try to wait to see if you or anyone else may be able to provide other options?

just out of curiosity, bnc4free sends you an email explaining why your request was denied... did you get one?

I've never received no email confirming or denying my request. So after 72 hrs. I tried to get some help on their IRC like it says on their homepage to do, but no one volunteered to help after several hours so I got impatient and gave up. Its possible I made a typo or didn't provide enough or correct info when making the request and I may try again later on down the road, but thought maybe I'd see if there was other options all the wonderful people here could provide.
