Kim Jong Un dismantled a monument — and his grandfather’s legacy

Reunification arch celebrated Kim’s predecessor, and its destruction shows North Korean leader won’t be bound by past

[Image: nknews-aug2018-unification-arch-monument...35x500.jpg]

Satellite imagery analysis by NK News revealed the news: North Korea demolished the Monument to the Three Charters for National Reunification in Pyongyang. Witnessing this act, it became evident that Kim Jong Un is determined to abandon peaceful unification and erase the very concept of reunification from the country's history. The arch held deep symbolism, representing not only the hope for unification but also honoring the remarkable achievements of Kim's predecessors. Its demolition signifies Kim's growing confidence in dismantling the legacies of his father and grandfather, as he strives to establish himself as a leader in his own right. It's truly saddening to see such an important symbol go.

Kim Jong Un labeled the monument as an annoying sight and commanded its total removal.

This comparison of clear images of the unification monument taken on Jan. 8 above and Jan. 23 below show the arch (inside the yellow dashed-line box) has likely been removed.

A large stone monument featuring a quote by DPRK founding leader Kim Il Sung about hopes for unification was likely also removed.

Kim is a tyrant psychopath. There's no point psycho analyzing him. He inherited a poor nation with hungry people. And he sits next to a rich nation with all the power that American protection can give them. So the tyrant can't go on vacation anywhere else in the world, as he watches the world greatness on his South Korean TVs. So the world has a jealous tyrant psychopath. And sometimes it gets even worse. Kim has a problem with alcoholism. So when he's on a bender, the world has a drunk, jealous, psychopathic tyrant. And that is just the things we know. It's a closed society with little technology. So there's lots we don't know, and I would bet it's mostly more bad stuff'

And it aint just Kim either. His skinny sister is a psychopath too. So Kim is not getting any good advise in his ear. And the only thing keeping Kim in line is the close proximity of the American Army. So when you have a lunatic like that in control, it's best to air drop the worlds finest booze from the most wondrous places. And hope Kim drinks himself to death. Or maybe not. If Kim dies, then somebody worse is likely to take his place. Then things would simply be worse.

A ways back when the Taliban took over Afghan, they blew up the Buddha carved into the mountain side thousands of years ago. Tore up other ancient ruins too. So that's what happens when insanity is in control. It's mostly blow up this and that, and kill this and that. Saddam Hussein blew up the oil wells in Kuwait. Creating worldwide pollution. And that is just another reason spending on Global warming is such a farce. China actually wan't us to spend our treasury away. Because it simply makes us weaker.

So North Korea is in the grips of insane tyrant control. And so far their biggest achievement by far is Nukes. And that's very bad juju. We all should be thankful that it wasn't North Korea that helped Trump in his 2016 election. Otherwise Biden would have started a Nuke war with Kim. Kim would have shot his nukes into South Korea for sure. No more South Korea and all the economic goods they make for the world. We likely would not nuke them, but bombed them out and killed all the government. Gaining a poor country and our own economic collapse. So North Korea is an insane bomb ready to go off. And the best we can do is stand down the rhetoric and let them quietly live their lives. Within the big walls they are stuck in. Then it all works for the rest of the world. North Korea is the working model of how you deal with tyrant nations. And I can't figure why our leaders won't treat all tyrants the same way. It works.

Resorting to name-calling and labeling individuals as psychopaths may hinder constructive conversation.

North Korea is indeed a closed society, which limits the amount of information available to the world. However, it is crucial to be cautious when speculating about unknown aspects of the country.

Although it is true that North Korea faces economic challenges, wishing harm upon individuals and promoting substance abuse as a solution goes against ethical and compassionate principles. Encouraging peace and understanding should be our goal.

What a minute. Your post is "deep dive into everything North korea". You did not say "oh but leave the reality part out". So take your pick. Do you want only fairy tales or do you want the reality too? I am not about fairy tales so say the word and I will remove my reality posts, and leave this topic to your "friends"...

The reality is that Kim is a dangerous man that has countless numbers of people killed. And there are reports from defectors of countless atrocities Kim is responsible for.

DEATH CAMP North Korean prisoners worked to death rearing pigs to feed Kim Jong-un & then used as human fertiliser on ‘flower hill’
https://www.the-sun.com/news/2007399/135...ertiliser/

In America Ted Bundy was responsible for the deaths of a handful of women. And nobody labeled him a "human rights abuser". They labeled him a killer and murderer and a psychopath and executed him for it. Kim is even worse and would easily top the charts on killers by American standards. But Korea is another country and America has no right to interfere with their way of living and dying. All we can do is warn our people to stay away. Denis Rodman didn't and he lived to tell his tale of his visit. Otto Warmbier didn't listen either and it cost him his life in a nasty ugly way. So ugly that Ottos own sister was shocked and ran away when she saw what was left of her dying brother.

The Untold Story of Otto Warmbier, American Hostage
https://www.gq.com/story/otto-warmbier-n...true-story

So. there was no "Constructive Conversation" with Bundy, and our government has no Constructive Conversation with North Korea. Only the warning to stay away. You go there at your own risk. Because they torture and kill people at will. For the most benign of reasons. Korea does not want Bible in their country. That is their right to say. But they kill you if you disobey that rule. And they will kill you if you do or say anything that is derogatory to anybody in North Korea. And they see no need to have "Constructive Dialog" on the matter. Dennis Rodman has no plans to go there again and has very little comment about what he thinks of North Korea. He sticks to a script of neutral comment to avoid controversy. And he has no plans to promote any kind of North Korean outreach. Likely because he saw insanity that he can't square with his own way of thinking. And he has no way of doing anything about it.

Kim has a daughter that next in line. Kim's sister is by his side in the direction of the country. Kims sister is a driving force to elevate women into North Korean leadership positions. While the whole Kim family has an unwavering grip on North Korean power thru the assassination of all competitors. There is no sign that Kims sister is any less radical than Kim himself. And Kim is raising his daughter with succession in mind. So the day may come when women rule North Korea, but that in no way seems to indicate any change in the warnings placed on North Korea by our government.

Trump in no way sees Kim as a King Arthur leader. But Trump respects that he is a leader. And that is what helped Trump deescalate North Korean tensions. But that is all there is.

"However, it is crucial to be cautious when speculating about unknown aspects of the country." Hah, There is no speculation. We have Otto, and we have heard the testimony from thousands of defectors. Kim is a criminal by America standards and we must leave them alone for our own safety. And the "unknown aspects" in their closed society are most likely to be even worse. And if there are better unknown aspects, that in no way excuses Otto or all the testimony of the defectors. It's a criminal country that can only be fixed by the North Korean people themselves.

As far a "wishing" Kim harm, hey we executed Ted Bundy and all those like him. Legally and with finality. There was no "wishing" harm about it. The United States of America DID harm and continues to do so in the best interests of the rest of the American public. All we can do about the criminal Kim is "wish". And that is as it should be. Because he really is none of our business, even if he kills half his population. Sovereignty laws apply to all in this world.

Yea that is a great link. Beyond Utopia. It's a PBS documentary. Very jaw dropping. If people here are mad at my posts, they are going to throw their TV sets out the window when they see this documentary. But the tragedy is that it's reality. And there's not a damn thing anybody in the world can do about it. People are born to live the only life they get every day. And if they have the tragic luck to be born in North Korea, it's a really tragic thing. Then it's a matter of if they were born into an important family. And then they still live in fear of ticking off somebody even more important.

And it's tragic that people in the free world would reduce the tragedy of Otto Warmbier to just a rant...

Gaza is a place North Koreans would love to go for a stay cation. No doubt about it. Well, before the war started. There are rumors that Kim feeds people that anger him to giant pigs like in Silence Of The Lambs. And it is likely that it happens in North Korea all the time when any official is angered. And we surely don't know the half of it.

I don't care if people have issues with North Korea. Blush Big Grin

I will still proudly share articles and my current favorite track from the Moranbong Band called Tansume.
