I'm looking for a face-to-face conferencing software that is free (preferably open source) to talk to my relatives, since long distance is not an option. It's not because of the COVID-19 outbreak, just financially.
Of course, I also am concerned that, because of the outbreak, my relatives might be caught in the crossfire.
Which free video conference program do you use, and how would you describe it?

I've heard bad reviews about Zoom; the videos can be hijacked to an unknown source, so that's not an option.
I'll try Netmeeting.

Webex offer a decent free plan....use it for work sometimes and it works quite well.
I have also tried Zoom which seems to work well but has privacy concerns.

Yeah, I've used Skype before it was sold to Microsoft.
How's the Microsoft revamp of Skype?

So, if you were to compare, which version was better, Skype pre-Microsoft buyout or Skype post-Microsoft buyout?

pre for all the hookers that used it. post for all the good updates they made (except the money grabbing schemes).
I would say Post just for the stability.
