Sweet Supreme Court Revenge

If Flake actually stops Kavanaugh, it will be the ultimate tribute to McCain and a great fuck you to Trump.

Quote:Jeff Flake once said Donald Trump didn’t deserve to win the presidency. He later wrote the book, literally, on why Trump is destroying the GOP.

Now Flake holds the keys to a Supreme Court confirmation Trump prizes dearly — and could soon yank them away.

Flake flashed a yellow light Sunday night on Brett Kavanaugh’s high court bid, telling POLITICO that he won't support advancing the nomination this week if fellow senators don’t do more to hear out a woman accusing the nominee of sexual assault more than three decades ago. Opposition from the Arizona Republican wouldn’t doom Kavanaugh outright, but it already has ratcheted up political pressure on a GOP struggling to keep Trump’s Supreme Court nominee from a full implosion.

Flake is a charter member of the GOP’s anti-Trump caucus, one of only a few senators in the president’s party who freely tee off on the president’s handling of issues from trade to Russia, though they rarely actively undercut his agenda. Another member of that caucus, Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), also called on Sunday night for a delay in the Kavanaugh confirmation process.

So do you think Senators Flake and Corker are going to vote NO on Kavanaugh , when Collins and Murkowski probably won't ?

Even if it goes down that way, there are still some conserva-Dems who might let him go through, including Heitkamp, Manchin, Connelly, and the worst of that group Claire McKaskill. They've proved in recent years that they could only be trusted to stand in unison with all Democrats, Susan Collins, and the late John McCain to not dismantle The Affordable Care Act.

The ultimate "fuck you" to the Republicans would be to impeach Judge Kavanaugh if the sexual allegation is true, because the federal circuit court he serves on has Merrick Garland as the Chief Justice!

I don't claim to know who will vote for what, I'm just praying someone grows a pair and votes him down. Susan Collins is my Senator and someone mailed her 3,000 coat hangers.

Yes, I heard that in the news last week!  Collins has made it clear enough that she was told by Kavanaugh that Roe V. Wade was settled law, and she bought his answer.  Yet I don't believe all those coat hangers will sway her vote.  So you live in Maine....

As far a Kavanaugh is concerned,

what is his position as far as pirating is concerned?

He obviously hates Hollywood, like most conservatives do. Will he go with Hollywood and support their efforts to ban places like thepiratebay?

Will the dude take a different position and say all this is in the open domain and free for anyone to download?

Damm I gotta love that California senator to delivering the blow. They should make him go through FBI interrogation maybe. I think if they voted no for him politux might throw a party, otherwise we wait for the common thing as the Republicans loose a couple more seats (hopefully in the senate). This is stupid politics in murica at it's best.

Sure, just as long as it doesn't resemble a character in an already copyrighted video game.

2nd accuser says Brett used to use alcohol and drugs to "run trains" on girls, i.e. gang rape.

It's not looking too good for Judge Kavanaugh now..... If the Republicans were smart, they could avoid further embarrassment by allowing Bret to withdraw his name from nomination. That way he won't have to worry about getting impeached ( by a Democratic House ) from his federal Appeals Court position until at least next year.
