Question on j3w1's 95 gb Math/CSE ebook torrent
#1
Hello,
an user nicked "j3w1" has uploaded a 95 gb torrent of math/cse books http://m.thepiratebay.org/torrent/203451...1#comments

File list (after extraction of 7z file) :
(a) https://pastebin.com/fQnr6MDS
(b) https://pastebin.com/LjUvdKqY

My question is if this torrent is consisted of the uploader's previous little 26 separate parts or not? (Take a look on his uploads http://m.thepiratebay.org/user/j3w1).
In the 95 gb torrent, it in 7z format and there's 8000 + books in a single folder unorganized. If this 95 gb torrent is different from the previous packs, I may have to dl those. I can't even comment and contact with the uploader on tpb. And also, looking all of those packs file list is impossible.
So can anybody help here by asking the uploader? TIA

Hey there. Yes. They are all remaining files from previous Packs. I always "try" to avoid dupes. It could be nice if you just download the full 7z file. Enjoy & Seed!

Oh, thanks for replying. So that means I don't have to download previous 26 separate packs.
I respect your work. Thanks again for sharing such files. But also, the 95 file would have been more great if they were organized in separate folders sorted by topics. 8000 books (covering various topics) in single folder is frustrating to sort them again.
You probably will upload the 2nd part of 200 gb in future. I strongly request you to organize the books according to their topic. That will be much more helpful.
And again, thanks for your hard work. We really appreciate it.

Ok you're welcome. What I normally do to read books from my collection is to make a simple Google Books search for the topic I'm interested in And 95% I'll find it in the collection. You can create a specific folder name it (~/MyBooks) and put there every Pack

About sorting them..you can consider downloading Calibre or Amazon Kindle. If you want to seed my torrents and keep the folder structure I chose (Oh infinite thanks to them). You can softlink files to save space (A shell script would be better of course):
Code:
ln -s </path/to/pack26.5/C How to Program with Introduction to C++ 8th Edition.pdf> </path/to/home/MyBooks/C++/>
Here a script for Kindle for PC to open it, and avoid copying (saving tons of disk space):
Code:
#!/usr/bin/env zsh

# sudo pacman -S wine && INSTALL KINDLE in Winetricks
# Open Kindle for PC app and links the book in 'My Kindle Content' to the original path, in order to save space
# Usage: $ kindle "/path/to/book.pdf"

KINDLE_APP_PATH=~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Amazon/Kindle/Kindle.exe
MY_KINDLE_CONTENT_PATH=~/Documents/My\ Kindle\ Content

if [[ "$1" = "-l" ]]; then
 ls -l "$MY_KINDLE_CONTENT_PATH";
else
 if [[ -e "$1" ]]; then
   wine "$KINDLE_APP_PATH" "$1" &>/dev/null;
   DUPLICATED_BOOK_PATH="$MY_KINDLE_CONTENT_PATH"/$(basename "$1");
   echo -e "\n"
   echo removing "$DUPLICATED_BOOK_PATH";
   rm "$DUPLICATED_BOOK_PATH";
   echo linking "$1" '->' "$DUPLICATED_BOOK_PATH";
   ln -s "$1" "$DUPLICATED_BOOK_PATH";
 else
   >&2 echo "$1" does not exist;
   exit 1;
 fi;
fi;

For Video Courses, you can review this:
Code:
#!/usr/bin/env zsh

# Usage:
#            currentcourse.sh
#            currentcourse.sh [/path/to/FolderVideoCourse][/path/to/ZipVideoCourse]
#
# If $1 is a dir => Copy or Link to $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR || If $1 is a zip => Extract to $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR

CURRENT_COURSE_DIR=~/Current\ Course
CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME=current_course_info.txt
CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION=$CURRENT_COURSE_DIR/$CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME

link_course () {
 course_tobe_linked="$1"
 extension="${course_tobe_linked##*.}"
 if [[ $extension = "zip" ]]; then
   zipped_course_name="${$(basename $course_tobe_linked)%.*}"
   echo "Unzipping Course..." && unzip -q $course_tobe_linked -d $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR;
   echo "Creating Current Course Info..." && echo "$zipped_course_name" > $CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION;
   echo "Moving inner course folder content..." && mv $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR/"$zipped_course_name"/* $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR
   echo 'Deleting empty folder...' && rm -r $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR/"$zipped_course_name"
 else
   #echo "Linking Course \"$course_tobe_linked\"..." && cp -rs "$course_tobe_linked"/* $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR
   echo "Linking Course \"$course_tobe_linked\"..." && cp -r "$course_tobe_linked"/* $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR
   echo "Creating Current Course Info..." && echo `basename "$course_tobe_linked"` > $CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION;
 fi;
}

# check if $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR exists
if [[ ! -d $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR ]]; then
 echo "Creating folder "$CURRENT_COURSE_DIR" for you..." && mkdir $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR;
fi
# if a path is passed as arg
if [[ -e "$1" ]]; then
 # if $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR has files inside
 if find "$CURRENT_COURSE_DIR" -mindepth 1 -print -quit | grep -q .; then
   #anythin before ? are variables
   read 'should_delete_previous?Do you want to replace your previous course (Y/n): '
   if [[ $should_delete_previous = "y" || $should_delete_previous = "Y" ]]; then
     echo Removing "$CURRENT_COURSE_DIR"'/*...' && rm -rf $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR/*
     link_course "$1";
   else
     if [[ $should_delete_previous = "n" || $should_delete_previous = "N" ]]; then
       echo "Then go fuck yourself"
       exit 0;
     else
       >&2 echo "\"$should_delete_previous\" is not a valid answer"
       exit 1;
     fi;
   fi;
 else
   link_course "$1"
 fi;
else
 # if $CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION exists AND $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR has contents
 if [[ -f $CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION ]]; then
   echo '|'
   echo -e '|' "\t"`cat $CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION`
   echo '|';
 else
   echo -e "Wow $CURRENT_COURSE_INFO_FILENAME_LOCATION does not exist. but this is the content:\n"
 fi;
 ls -l $CURRENT_COURSE_DIR
fi;

If you want to copy books to Mobile Devices, colons make it impossible to copy, hence this script:
Code:
#!/usr/bin/env sh

# Usage:
#           cptomobile.sh [/paths/to/book.pdf...]
#
# Copy to $TOMOBILE_FOLDER removing colons ':' from their names

TOMOBILE_FOLDER=~/tomobile;
RM_CHAR=":";

if [ -n "$*" ]; then
 #note $@ does not care of $IFS, $* does
 for file in "$@"; do
   if [ -e "$file" ]; then
     NEW_NAME=`basename "$file" | tr --delete "$RM_CHAR"`;
     NEW_PATH=$TOMOBILE_FOLDER/$NEW_NAME;
     echo "(*) Copying $file ==> $NEW_PATH";
     # copy and follow soft link if exists
     cp -L "$file" "$NEW_PATH";
   else
     >&2 echo 3rr0r: "$file": File doesn\'t exist;
   fi;
 done;
else
 >&2 echo "C0py wh4t?";
fi;

Sorting them into categories is up to you. I beg you to keep my file structure in order to seed. I think soft links can help you in some ways.
You SHOULD download previous packs because they are not included in 200GB packs (the 95 gigB folder for exampl) I hate duplicates.
