[split] Trouble with thethingy's Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended installation

I have been using the CS6 Master Collection for a couple years with no issues. All of a sudden today, within a minute of opening Dreamweaver a pop-up appears from "Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service" stating "The Adobe software you are using is not genuine." There is more in the pop-up. This cannot be made to go away or minimized. This same thing also happens now with any Adobe application that is opened.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Does anyone know of a solution.

I'm having the exact same problem.  Huh
I just went to even nab the Adobe Tool because the link was broken and even THIS link was broken. Now I just uninstalled it and tried to get the tool but.... No tool, no fix. 
I agree about the Dreamweaver problem. I installed and started getting the pop up. I went to the link to disable it and it overwrote the file. So I'm guessing even the security has security. Ugh.


So I'm looking for help with this too. Anyone?

I am speculating that somehow the two applications that gave the popup message, Dreamweaver and InDesign, managed to call the mother ship. In CS6, both of these applications are 32bit. In so far as CS6 has not been updated anytime recently, installing an update cannot be the culprit.

I also opened CS6 Photoshop 64 bit version and the popup message did not occur.

Just yesterday, a separate installation of Acrobat that was not part of the Master Collection install started giving a popup message. It is a different popup than the CS6 one, but the same idea. The difference is it can be Xed out. None of these have actually stopped the applications from working, but that may be next.

I solved the Dreamweaver and InDesign issue by installing the 64 bit CC versions. So far they are working without issue. However, I would really like to get the CS6 Master Collection working again, as I have all the libraries for it.

I ran into this same issue with Adobe CS6 Master Collection (thethingy) running on Windows 7 Pro SP1 (thethingy).
Here is what I did three days ago and it that seems to have worked.

Using Advanced Scan in RevoUninstaller I removed all Adobe products in this order:
Adobe Flash Player npapi
Adobe Flash Player activex
Adobe Widget Browser
Adobe Content Viewer
Adobe Air
Adobe Help Manager
Adobe Acrobat X Pro
Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection

Once all Adobe Products were completely uninstalled from my system:

Rebooted the computer and opened CCleaner (Clean and Registry)
Rebooted into "Safe Mode"
Opened explorer and unhide "Protected OS Files" and "Hidden Files"
(Alt key to see menu bar then Tools > Folder Options... > View Tab >"Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives"
and then removed the check from "Hide Protected Operating System Files")
Removed all "Adobe" folders from Program Files, Program Files (x86) and ProgramData
Rebooted normally and reapplied the settings to hide the files I had unhidden previously.
Disconnected from the internet (unplugged Ethernet)
Followed Installation instructions from X-FORCE:

This is what I think made the difference:
IPV6 is a recent addition to the internet so I added some lines to my HOSTS file!
Maybe it is a bit of overkill, but it seems to have worked for 3 days (Woo-ha!)

I rebooted and reconnected to the internet, Opened Photoshop 64 bit and got all of the updates from Help > Updates

Today I am amping it up another notch. I am adding a restriction to the Group Policy Editor to prevent AdobeGCClient.exe from running.
I do think that adding the blocks for IPV6 to the HOSTS file has helped.
If anyone has a better solution, please post it!
