page links hidden by advertisment
#1
on pages where a search has produced more than 45 pages of results (example àudiobook`) the first 6 pages links are hidden on the bottom of the page by the ad on the left. you can not navigate to page 2 or 4 for eg. the first page shown is 7. and there is no `Next`option to compensate for this boo boo ( if it is it`s hidden by the right hand advertisement. Confused this happens if the browser is not `maximized`so the resizing is not applying to the page list accurately.

Simply use an 'ad blocker' like uBlock Origin or 'Adblock Plus'.

Am not able to reproduce the problem.
What is your browser / device (PC/mobile device) / OS ?
Post a snapshot if you can.

BTW, the first number after the search string in the address bar, between the '/'s is the page number; just in case..

Tried opening the page in chrome and the page links are not hidden.

However, if I adjust the Zoom to 150% then the page links will start at number 7 just like the screenshot.

So I think if your browser isn't at 150% Zoom then most likely you are using a screen resolution lower than mine which is 1366x768.

Screen resolutions and ad blockers aside, if your search yields over 1000 results you should refine your search.

Im at 1280 x 720 zoom 100%
isn't this just a percentage sizing issue? I mean regardless of resolution there should be the next and prior buttons visible. unless your dev specs were for a minor resolution of 1366x768. that seems like some odd specs. admittedly it's not a show stopper for those who know how to manipulate a URL but there are soooooo many people with resolutions below that. maybe I'm old school where 800x600 was the development minimum. but it's the ad's man. if I switch to your resolution this is my screenie. for a moment before the ad's show I see pages 1 - 6 but once the ad's kick in its this again.

again sid with some true insight. thx sid woulda never figured that out without your insight...... whoisthisguy???please tell me he's not employed to make these comments... it's an injustice to good commerce everywhere.... realllllly???? couldn't it be that a user wants to put in a broad spectrum search and see the results to see what's new in a genre or a medium???? sidsidsid??.....

In your case which you operate the browser not maximized, you can just resize the horizontal.

Increase the horizontal to give room for the left & right ads so they don't cover the page links.

It appears to be a zoom related issue. (If you have a look at the HTML you'll understand why.)
At any rate it isn't a serious issue.

As recommended many times earlier in this forum, use of an ad-blocker is highly recommended. So, please get one installed.
Sid's suggestion also is highly recommended. You'll need to use TPB browse/search better.
Make good use of the forums. Kindly refrain from off-topic (personal) remarks in future. For your own good. ;-)

wasn't off topic. the dynamic nature of tpb allows users to search broad spectrum searches. it provides users the ability to expose themselves to a wide range of topics. I don't think search limitation is a valid solution to the issue. the problem is thus deemed a not serious issue but it is an issue.. I have a standard browser setup like many users and don't trust ad blockers much more than I do advertisers. in terms of the "For my own good..." trust me I'm not wasting my time trying to improve TPB "for my own good" but rather to try to improve a valuable social resource.
I'm seeding over 300 torrents at the moment at over 2.4 Mbps this is constant in as much as I can keep it. the seeming "personal" attack on sid was based on a rather unpleasant reply (and my response) in another thread. I've sent a P.M. and perhaps an understanding can be attained by those means.

The zoom isn't the issue here. the image CLEARLY shows that Bishop doesn't use zoom. I dont get how you think he is zooming in/out Sector...

The problem here is B15hop are browsing the website on a window smaller than what the website is designed for (with ads). Is there a reason your window is that small, or your screen resolution for that matter? I might have programmed my own website for 1280x720 in mind, but man, it's 2017. If you want to keep your window or screen resolution smaller than what most laptop can produce since 2004, that is all on you. Don't force other to program for outdated resolutions
