Hi all,
today i noticed that on my last two uploads there are no torrent files to hit anymore.
Just the magnet link showed up.
Can someone tell me the reason for that? The previous uploads show torrent and magnet.
regards

if the number of peers is 10 or more, the .torrent link disappears.
(note that the peer statistic of the site is inaccurate, your client shows better results)

Thanks. I had the same question. In two of my torrents, the torrent file kept appearing and disappearing LoL, guess the above answer explains this now!
But I still don't understand the reason for doing this by TPB. Any takes?

It promotes decentralised technology, and saves bandwidth.

I see. Guess there must also be some reason for removing the .torrent download option only after it reaches more than 10 seeds.
Thanks for the answer, NIK.

Because in order for you to be able to download a torrent file from a swarm, there needs to be a swarm. And given that the statistics aren't all that accurate, a degree of safety was built in.
btw, it's not 10 seeds, it's 10 peers

Superb! I feel so stupid now.
+10 for the answer!

Some of my torrents show only the magnet icon while others also show the download icon:
Why does this happen?
Can I control it?
If I can control it, should just show the magnet icon or should I show both?
Thanks much.

It is any combination to make 10. Hence 10 peers. As soon as the 11th peer joins, the download torrent link disappears.
It does not matter if they are seeds or not, as that is irrelevant to downloading torrent metadata.
