how did you get into RiffTrax or how did you know about them
sorry with the newest collection going up I figured it would be a good time to ask the question

*Is* that a good question? It's like asking how someone how they got into Halloween II or Empire Strikes Back. From the first part. Most answers (unless they're new to the scene) will be MST.

I only bring this up because of your history of posts that seem trollish and/or entitled. (I've resisted adding a -1 Rep to you so far and this little outburst was my release.)

I got into Rifftrax about 18 months ago when Meat Trademark had me chained in his basement, forcing me to watch Miami Connection on a loop for weeks and weeks with only spoiled cheese to eat and Bud light to drink, often berating me for soiling myself and then taping my eyes open to make sure I didn't miss any nuance of the riff. It worked! I'm now a dedicated believer in all things Rifftrax, and harbour no ill feelings to Mr. Trademark! Really! No hard feelings! Just wish he'd unchain me...

Somehow stumbled across their riff of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" (I think that's the correct name? Or Wonderful Land of Oz IDK) while browsing YouTube. I was feeling incredibly shit and looking for a distraction so I watched it. It made me laugh until I cried multiple times even though I was withdrawing from opioids at the time*.
Quickly started devouring every one of their riffs I could find.

*and if you've ever experienced that, you'll know that it's almost impossible to feel even the TINIEST bit of joy

For me, no. I had NO IDEA what MST3K was when I discovered Rifftrax (or for a while after, even).
