database maintenance?

whenever I search for a video, such as "bill maher" ,  i keep getting "Database maintenance, please check back in 10 minutes."
if I click top 100, I sometimes am able to perform a limited 1 page search

Up and till the "database maintenance" error is fixed, I'm using this workaround. In certain instances this may work for you as well.

Do a Google search on the piratebay site with this type of search string ----- site:thepiratebay.se better call saul S02e01
The site:thepiratebay.se portion of the search string restricts the Google search to thepiratebay.se site.

The resulting Google search items, can then take you to specific pages within the piratebay for direct download

For example here are the top 3 results of the above google search string:
https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/13563149...64-KILLERS[ettv]
https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/13562499...V.x264-AVS[ettv]
https://thepiratebay.se/torrent/13563967...V.XviD-FUM[ettv]

Not perfect, but some help I hope :-)

just a hunch but i wonder if the database maintenance is a sign of overload or overload protection.

if overload then maybe would be a good idea to get a second server and split out the databases into 2 parts

1 video

2. the rest.

or maybe even split out the database out into all parts

1. video

2. audio

3. porn

4. software

5. other

and have a server for each item to handle the load better.

if it is overload protection maybe instead of database maintenance it should be site overload or instead of an error have a queue like offliberty.com/ does.

have you noticed if you try to download a video using offliberty.com/ at certain times you have to wait in line maybe apply to tpb

Hmm i get this too every time i try to search for something.
I figured out that, it searches fine with one word, but if i search for something more than one word i get the maintenance thing.

Not exactly... I tried to establish some connections regarding the way this error appears; but it's randomized. I only know it appears (that's fact) when you want to access someone's profile. Eg: https://thepiratebay.se/user/dolly_cat

ok then i hope that tpb will now run a backup of the back end so if it goes down again they will have a backup that includes the fix

Wait a minute you guys are saying this error has been fixed?
Because I'm still getting this damn error! Almost every day
when I go to the Pirate Bay. I still continue to get this same
error!
