communication with seeders

hi everybody,
i just came here to ask you if there is a way to chat to a seeder, in order to ask question of a particular torrent file, i think this would be very helpful. the case is that i wanted to ask for a torrent file, it seems to be uncomplete, there is just a single leecher, but i wanted to ask him if it is really uncomplete or there is a txt missing file or something like this. sorry my english...

Firstly the word you're looking for is uploader (or "torrent uploader" or "original uploader"), not seeder, as that means something different. If it is an old torrent then the person or persons seeding it today may not be the person who uploaded it originally. And since you say there is "just a single leecher" it sounds like there is no seeder anyway--you couldn't chat to someone who doesn't exist.

You could, theoretically, chat to a seed or another leech if both of you were using a client such as BitComet or uTorrent, which supports chat. But only if you were both using the same client at the same time AND monitoring the chat pane (which most people don't even know exists), so that is very unlikely. Also, as explained above, those people are probably not the ones you want to talk to anyway.

You can post a comment on the torrent and the uploader might respond.

Or you could post your question here (with a link to the torrent). The uploader might be a member of this forum--possibly under a different name--or someone else may be able to answer your question.
