I'm running a youtube ad blocker and like all ad blockers it only works for a little while and then the ads start flooding in.
I wish there was an ad blocker that worked 100% and that youtube couldn't find a way to disable.

Please be aware that there has been recent issues regarding Firefox and Adblock Plus in recent weeks. I'm not sure of all the technical details but I do know that Firefox have been messing around with something to do with the Security Certificate and it has been stopping Adblock from working, you can still use it in Chrome just fine but with Firefox several weeks ago there was problems and it was quite annoying for a while where they had messed around with updates and things and caused all these problems.
It does seem to be working currently but it's possible this could all happen again. Just don't know what to think sometimes when Firefox keep bringing out updates they make a mess of things and create new problems. I'm glad that it's okay right now and I hate ads and they are very annoying so if you can't use Adblock Plus with Firefox then really there's not a great number of reasons to keep using Firefox in the future. Might be worth switching over to Chrome more in future as their browser doesn't seem to be affected.

I also experienced the same problem some weeks ago. Suddenly Adblock Plus doesn't work at Firefox, but the problem was resolved soon after I update Firefox.
thanks for information Rodney...

I have noticed there's been trouble now since about March/April this year. Another Firefox issue happens when accessing Linux based server clients and when using Firefox there's issues. Scrolling down the page and you find that there's screen problems like drifting that happens. Things were fine a while ago and all this Adblock thing also was annoying. I'm just so grateful that at least it works I'm guessing that lots and lots of people complained about it and demanded they put it right. Another annoying thing which I've noticed when using Yahoo there is issues and popups come up all the time. They detect there's Adblock Plus being used so they annoy you about disabling it. It really seems to me like some kind of war going on between all the people who are wanting their Ads to appear on people's screens and all the people who are sick of it.
If you ever get popups telling you to disable adblockers like in Yahoo then just either click on the X or just simply don't use their site, like newspaper sites. Go and use another one instead if they are being so petty then don't even read their articles go elsewhere instead to people who don't care.

Thanks for mentioning this... I noticed it too so I switched to Adblock lite which seems to have corrected the issues...
I just thought I did something to fuck it up... That's usually the answer...

It was all add ons on Firefox that were affected by that particular issue. It is fixed now and I doubt that particular problem is going to return. I wouldn't be too concerned about switching browsers over it, but that's me.
But, I have yet to see a Youtube ad while browsing with Firefox + Adblock Plus. I've also heard good things about uBlock Origin in Firefox as well.
As far as the "PLZ STOP ADBLOCKING US KTHXBAI" popups, it is correct that it is a kind of technological scuffle between adblockers and ad companies. The ad companies will continue to try to find ways to circumvent adblockers and adblockers will continue to find ways to stop said annoyances.
