For a few months now, I have noticed that I when I click in the search bar of TBP the URL bar changes from my usual thepiratebay.se/sx to about:blank then after about 10-20 seconds the tab disappears.

I have noticed that occasionally the page jumps to some advertising site then after 30secs the page jumps to the about:blank setting then vanishes.
I have run an indepth anit-virus (zonealarm) and malware (zonealarm, malwarebytes, spybot) on my system, but they all come up clean.

I then took the step of deleting all the cookies that had the heading thepiratebay, but to no avail.

Is anyone else having the same problem? Does anyone know ow to stop this from happening?

the ads yes but the About:blank no

i'd run a driver update, do a full privacy sweep, and the whole scan with advanced system care (free and works great) i'd also recommend trying another browser to see if it may be the browser that's the problem.

Sounds like the work of a very slow ad or pop-up blocker.
