Something I found useful as my electricity bills are discounted in the night time until 7AM.

Sunvise Shutdown Timer: https://sinvise-shutdown-timer.en.softonic.com/

It goes to hibernate or sleep, something that Windows 7 cannot do in Task Scheduler.

If you can't find an offline installer in that link, PM me, and I'll see what I can do.

http://tinywall.pados.hu/

TinyWall, a Windows 7 (and above) frontend for the native Windows firewall.

Although when I install it, it blocks my Network Discovery options, and I had to type out the computer name (e.g. \\Computer) in My Computer or whatever, it's still worth looking at.

You can restrict Internet access from your other programs, especially ones that "phone home" to official servers. Because of this it's great for games since they are mostly ones who will try to check your serial to home servers. Of course, I won't go further in that; this thread is about the freeware program Tinywall, and not block game serials. However, you're welcome to do so; it's an easy job.

Furthermore, because it automatically blocks/allows online access the way you want it, and there are no annoying messages asking you to allow permission to block/allow Internet access every time, like Zonealarm or Privatefirewall.

In a nutshell, it's great for maintaining control of all traffic of your computers' programs and connections.

Systemback

A tool for Ubuntu-type OSs, it does help make system backups and remaster the OS to DVD.

Basically, a remaster is a backup of all system software to disc so as to make the disc a like a customised l install disc. For example, if you want to use it to install a new program, or updated version an existing, you can. All you have to do is to install/update/remove the respective programs and then run the Systemback software to do the job.

Here's the URL: https://sourceforge.net/projects/systemback/
If you want to install the repository: https://launchpad.net/systemback

This will only work with Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based GNU/Linux distributions like Linux Mint. Remember that.
