Wonder Woman 1984 | RiffTrax

The site states that this was released on the 19th March - which clearly is not the case.

I'm guessing it may be an April Fool's joke???

Nope, this is not an april fools joke! I just downloaded the MP3 from the official site. The release date was just listed incorrectly.

Probably the original release date but postponed so it wouldn't compete with the Snyder cut and then get lost in the shuffle

I can sync this up if someone wants to share the MP3

Got the mp3 right here.

I was trying my hand at syncing and was curious if it's as simple as adding the movie file and riff to a video editor, making audio adjustments, and just exporting that? That export will take quite a while with a 1080p movie file so just curious if there was another way.

Thanks DS!  Do you have the text file that goes along with it?  It lets you know where Disembaudio is so you can edit him out

yes, there's another way. here's helpful info from kitcastuff, which I've tweaked a bit and saved:

1. Get the just the jokes mp3 and the VERY important READ ME file.
2. Choose a program to extract the audio from the original movie file: VLC can do this and the instructions are widely available. (https://www.videolan.org/vlc)
3. Open the extracted film audio in Audacity. (https://www.audacityteam.org/download)
4. Drag and drop the riff into Audacity beneath the original movie waveform.
5. Lock the main film audio.
6. Cut off the rifftrax introductory 'welcome' section and paste it to the end of the track.
7. Slide the riff track left and right to correctly sync with the original track.
8. Use the timings given for the disembaudio cues to help line up the tracks.
9. If the riff audio has problems with syncing to your source, small cuts or silences may be necessary.
10. Perform any wanted compression or other alterations to the tracks.
11. Duck.
12. Render.
13. Extract audio.
14. Open MKVToolNix (with GUI) and open the original movie file. (https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html)
15. Drag and drop the audio version with riff in the sources; add .srt subtitles files at this step as well.
16. Set riffed audio as default; it also helps to name the audio tracks appropriately.
17. Check destination.
18. Start Multiplexing.

Here we go, 1080p 3.01GB, Rifftrax first audio track, 5.1 original movie mix as the second
