Windows Image Editor
#1
I am planning to download a Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft's site and I am interesting in learning if there is a Windows Image Editor that can delete an unneeded edition of Windows 11, say Windows 11 Home, from the image. That's all I need to do.

I'm open to suggestions.

i am also curious and want to learn about it. also remembered that you once asked how to edit the windows installer.

try to learn this link to edit file "install.wim" via cmd:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...windows-11

there are also many modified installers out there that have been made.
for example like this one: https://phoenixliteos.com/

Same as above. shorter version.
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...2c8ef44b06

Easier method mentioned in above article.
Use NTLite (Freeware)

Note the individual 'sizes' listed by dism command in article 1, are each around 15 GB, while install.wim itself is shown as around 4 GB.
But it appears 'Size on disk' will still be around 4 GB.

There's some more discussion on compression. If interested you can read it too.

I don't claim to have a full understanding of all this. :-)
Just hoping you find it useful.
