Why doesn't TPB import KAT torrents?
#1
I had uploaded some random still alive torrents that I've downloaded in the past from KAT that weren't on TPB

Many KAT torrents will eventually die due to the lack of exposure

Why don't the TPB admins find the way to scrape these torrents?

These could be posted as anonymous

There were many torrents at KAT that weren't posted at Piratebay  Sad

TPB has never been a site that scrapes others. All the torrents here are directly uploaded. Other sites scrape TPB for this reason.

The old KAT torrents could be an exception here, there was never a bigger than TPB torrent site besides KAT
Since it's old torrents already, that wouldn't be conflicting with someone posting them at the present

There could be a scraper that does some torrent Hash comparison and post the ones that aren't already here

I do think that the proven reliability of TPB makes it worth

That is not the way TPB works. People upload what they want to share.

If you or anyone else believe that those torrents should be on TPB, then go ahead and upload them. But don't expect TPB to do that work for you. If it isn't worth that kind of effort, perhaps they aren't really that valuable.

People don't have access to KAT torrents in the first place, that's the issue, even if they have have the .torrent file previously downloaded, nobody probably bothers to upload and don't even have access to the old title & description, or even if they can't find they won't bother to make one from scratch, especially software stuff

It's not that they aren't valuable, there are always contents that have a smaller target audience

So regular downloaders can't the torrents, and the audience is small, but somehow TPB is supposed to list the torrents anyways?

I think we'll keep the current arrangement where people who want to share something upload it.

TPB was not set up and is not being run to share anything.

It was set up and is being run to allow people to share.

The difference may be lost on you but it is real, it is significant and it means there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of TPB even considering trying to do what you are suggesting.

Not to mention that TPB has no more access to KAT torrents than you do.
