Which VPN Providers Take Anonymity Seriously?
#91
Well a VPN is useless if you're into hacking, DDOS, and child porn. For those, the possibility would be far from zero. So you're right about that.

However, if you are to work with beehives, wouldn't you want a suit so bee stings don't kill you?

Well Robert...

To each his own.  Better you than me.

That's all I got to say.

All of them till they get a fucking court order or loss of money

then you are

HISTORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

___0l0___

Oh I see they added a warning level to my name?

Ut oh

If you rely upon a vpn as your security....

then you are

unwise.

I disagree. I think my BT Guard doesn't keep records of my info. I'm sure of others that don't keep logs either, so courts cannot subpoena things that don't exist.

In regards to your warning level. A good VPN can hide your IP address, but there isn't an app on this planet that can hide stupidity. I lesson you are obviously learning now.

I consider it a blessing that you believe I am stupid.
If you were to think I were wise I would know I were cursed.

I would have God to make all my adversaries to be a wise as you.

lol

lol

lol

So fuck off.

The topic is which VPN providers people trust, not what you all think of each other. Post on topic or don't post.

I recently received a letter from my ISP saying they had gotten complaints that my IP address had downloaded copyright protected materials.  Like all too many people these days my budget is sorely limited so I have been looking at the least expensive ways to handle the situation.  I haven't noticed anyone suggesting or recommending any free software/providers of VPN's so if anyone has any experience with any of these in general or Trust_Zone_VPN specifically can you please share that information?  If in your opinion no free provider can be trusted could you please recommend a low cost alternative?  Thank you to all that have shared the very useful information in this thread and thanks in advance to any and all that can address my questions specifically.

Added: I am on Windows 10 and use Edge or Firefox for my browser and uTorrent. My ISP is Cable One.

Additional question: A few years ago I was led to believe that there are dangerous to download items and "safe" items. I'm not referring to things like porn photos, open source books, etc. but to movie and TV show files. I was told that old movies, like 1950's war movies for example, were "safe" to download and it was only the quite current movies that were a very risky download. The same "rule" was applied to TV episodes, that shows no longer in production or that are now in syndication were safer than very current, no downloading the last Walking Dead for example. Now, this was a measure of how likely the torrent was to be tracked and not intended to say that any movie or TV show torrent was ever truly safe. Is there any truth to this or has tracking caught up to this so to speak?

I don't know of the top of my head but there should be a VPN provider that just has a VPN for your client, maybe someone can help me recall.

Thanks contrail.  It appears no additional help is forthcoming quickly so I guess I'm off to seek answers elsewhere or take a blind leap of faith.  Undecided   You gave me a new idea to research in the suggestion of a dedicated VPN for my client so thanks again for the info!
