What's With The ADs?
#1
Suddenly the movies downloaded are carrying bet.one ads, not just still ads (ie text) but interrupting the movie
to show a full-on ad.
These seem to be coming from India (open to correction) ...

Whatever ones attitude to what goes on with piratebay movies this starting of full on ads is a downer and is
turning me off even wanting to get movies from the site. What a shame as I've enjoyed this site immensely.

Can anything be done? Why are movies, which are generally of poor quality, allowed to be vehicles for
more advertising? This is exactly what I want to get away from.

Interested in your views on this topic ... which could spell the end of Piratebay if it is not checked very soon.

It's probably due to being the movies that haven't been out very long. Like still in the Cinema. I don't really download stuff anyway I always buy all my movies usually. For the stuff that I can't afford or don't want to buy cos there's so much then I might download from somebody that I know who is a trusted source. That's the thing with movies, people tend to jump at the first gun and download the first version of something that comes out. I think it's worth waiting really for somebody to share an actual copy of a bluray and not something has been ripped or copied in any other way. These cam things and all sorts of ways they are done are really just things you should avoid really. Me I would rather wait for a movie to get released properly on disc before I go ahead and attempt to watch it. Usually if it's a big movie as from time to time these well known movies come out. I always wait and then buy them as then I know I'm getting the proper copy and then I can always go ahead and have the fun of doing a rip in my own way and style. I guess you do get addicted after time and it can become a lifestyle of its own. The whole process, waiting to find out a movie has been made. Then the process of finding out it's at the Cinema. Then waiting until a date is set for a release. Then watching the releases come out in different countries most likely the USA first and Canada. Depends which country has made the film. Then comes the point where it gets released in the country where you are from. The actual date. Being able to go and get this movie from a retailer. It's good fun I guess you have to be patient. Like you said you want to avoid ads, if you rip movies yourself then are you doing just that you are skipping past all the trailers and just accessing the main content that way no need to be sitting around for ages waiting for your movie to start you just click on the file and up it pops no messing around. It's a patience game really and I take ages in watching stuff. I'm watching stuff at the moment that has been out for months now. Stuff that's coming out now it will take me quite some time to get around to watching at the rate I'm going at.

Good practices here RYP and I agree ... have been watching old stuff for quite a while but now and again a new release is tempting.
Hey, thanks for your thoughts.

Good idea to wait for the official blu-ray release date and then watch for a pink or green skull to post it.

One could wait till the USA/EU release, as pirates there are less prone to do it for money and insert ads; but also the fines and legal threats are worse, less people willing to risk that just for kicks. I bet the reasons they launch movies in poor Asian countries is just to give us creepy crap CAMs and discourage good bootleggers.
