I'm investigating being able to serve video from my home computer to people with my IP address.

Can anyone with experience or knowledge please point me in the right direction?

If you are comfortable to working with the command line, I would recommend Apache.

If not, here's what I recommend: https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html

Great, I guess, although I tend to stay away from places that offer "full versions."

The reason being is that it paints a picture that its free versions are limited and crippled.

It is by no means the truth, it's just that I learn to stay away from those guys unless I really need it.

I'm using good old Apache, if you need things done easy and quickly you can use some assembled packages like wamp or xampp
There should be tons of guides on youtube how to set them up
