What are the best English-language Academic Publishers?

I'm not a English native speaker, and only aware of mostly Oxford and Cambridge.
Have seen many Springer books, that's why i am asking.
I didn't even know Springer.

There is one consolidated list here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Eng..._companies

Springer publishes science and technology books.

At the end of the above page, there is a link to list of "Computer book publishing companies".
That might be of help to you I think.
- Wiley, O'Reilly, Prentice Hall, CRC Press, Addison Wesley are some popular publishers for Computer Science.
- Oxford, Cambridge, MacMillan, Penguin, are good for books on English classics.

If you are looking for printed books, then depending on the country you live in, there may be more/other options.

Knowing a publisher name, you can head to http://libgen.org and search and download books from that publisher.
You could also browse amazon, "google books", "barnes and noble" or similar sites to gradually gather publisher names.

Judging by the site list, they must be relevant as they are 3rd based in annual revenue.

For humanities, these come to mind:

Minnesota
Columbia
Verso
MIT Press

These would be best for "theory" (French poststructuralism and its heirs), cultural studies, and new media.
