Which was always unfortunate. Romero at least seemed very "c'est la vie" about it, but he missed out on a ton of money from that film. Though, it can be argued, that the movie wouldn't have been shown as much or seen by so many people if it hadn't been available in the public domain. At least it gave him a career, though he never did quite as many films as you'd think he should have done.

NOTLD was my favorite movie all the way up until I got to an age where I value sentimentality too much. Damn shame that the godfather of the zombie craze couldn't own his own thing, but I suspect having seen zombies infest literally EVERYTHING might have made him happy before he went.

Wade Williams would claim that he owned the Brooklyn Bridge if he get get enough people to believe him.

Speaking of Freshstep, has his work resurfaced anywhere since MySpleen purged everything? I felt terrible when that happened (especially since the very... shall we say "flexible" standards there still allow things like STAR WARS fan edits to remain), and I wasn't anywhere near downloading the last of the cool stuff before it disappeared.
