I got the 1920x1080 MST episodes to about 5 gb each.
Proteus - H265 - CBR @ 7.5

Im happy with the results.
3-4 hours on a 200$ m1 mac mini.

i run several apps hard in the background with no issues whatsoever.
I actually forget topaz is going in the background.

No need to use handbreak and reduce the quality AND... run it for like 18 hours after topaz.

Yeah, getting to a manageable size with a decent improvement was my issue.  Now that it's been around for a while, it would be easier to get it right thanks to the work of everyone else.

You have to run several test to find the best settings. BRUTAL especially wit 4k material.

so you can skip the tedious texting process

increase the rf settings if the size isn't good enough

you also cant just switch to fast for testing and assume thats the same proportions as if you get in very slow.
it does NOT scale like you might assume.
use shorts if a full MST episode is too massively long a wait to for your test
set up presets when you are dialed in
handbreak will ignore your audio settings in your presets. they are not saved in your presets.
manually set audio settings every time if the aac compression is not what you want.
