Trouble with audio on desktop computer
#1
I've been searching around the web for a solution to fix this computer. There's a red X on the volume speakers and says, "No Audio Output Device is installed." It's a Gateway computer that was purchased May of 2007. It came with Windows Vista, but I installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I went to the Gateway website to search for the audio drivers and none of them seem to work, or the files come out to be zip folders.

A zip file should have what you want if you uncompress it, using winzip or winrar or 7zip or another similar program. Install one of those, and open the compressed file/s you downloaded and you will probably find the proper files.
