Anyone still have a vintage computer?
#1
I've always been fascinated with old stuff although I just took command of a glittering computer just last Christmas. Yet, I still miss the way vintage stuff work.

Does anyone still have the first Pentium computer or an AMD 586 or a Cyrix 6x86?

I would love to interact with you.

I have several old computers that still work. 386-DX 33, 486-66, Pentium, I also have a Timex Sinclare from 1982. I have been deep into computers since the Commodore VIC-20 came out (my first computer).

I just love the old stuff. People wonder why, I think besides the nostalgia, some of them do actually have a purpose.

Just restored a x86 notebook computer that my friend gave to me, took out Windows 7 and put in MX Linux, a Debian-based OS.

It's kicking and being updated as I speak.

Also, it's got a wireless connection.

For what it's worth.

Yeah for me Debian was the best choice for x86 CPU since no other known to me Linux distro ssupports it and that laptop I have is way too weak for Win7 well at least for usning it with COMFORT and my old friend had Debian he even had monochromated debian logo on all of his social media profiles' avatars maybe he stil uses Debian I'm not sure were not in touch

I'm always on the lookout on vintage machines to buy.

If you guys have a recommendation or lead, please share it for me and all of us.

I love Debian. It is one of the most stable distros that just works (unless you run Sid/Unstable like me), and I highly recommend it to anyone that asks me about Linux.
