Trouble Publishing New Torrent
#1
To start, I am really sure this is an issue I am having rather than TPB.

I used BitComet to make a torrent.
It is a PROPER version of a show in 1080p.
I downloaded a high-quality but very extremely bloated version of a show. I re-transcoded the eps of that show into the standard 1080p filesize for hour-long eps.
I authored a totally new .torrent file using the builder in BitComet.

I found the IMDB tt number.

But I receive the error pictured.

My best theory about this is there is some error or omission in the file created by BitComet because BitComet is old enough to buy a beer.

Any Ideas?

I found one possible line of inquiry:

It may be worth checking how the link actually parses.

Check for trailing blank-space character in IMDb tt number. If so remove and re-try.

Else, upload without IMDb number and post in your Accounts Issue thread requesting update.
For the moment post the IMDb link in the description.

Also, 720/1080p should go into HD section.

It worked! I have no clue why except yeah, I had the category wrong...lol

Thanks!

Great ! Do report if it happens again.

Unless intended you can upload without the padding files, that BitComet adds. (see the file-list of the torrent).
In BitComet, Uncheck 'Align file to piece boundary' in the Torrent Maker General Tab. Then create the torrent.
Padding files has its uses, but not sure if it will really get used.

Also, including Subs is a plus for getting more people to download your torrent ;-)
You can include it as a sub-folder; don't have to mux it in. Players can side-load separate subs.

I noticed those padding files and I was like, "AYFS?"
As for the subs...yeah, alright.
I'm upping Se02 soon, so I'll keep all this in mind. Thanks again!

[EDIT: Also, I will get rid of DSStore next time - I really *don't* need *everyone* knowing I'm on a Mac...lmao]

Thanks.

Anyone having similar issues reg IMDb title while posting:
1) Retry ensuring there is no trailing blank space
2) Post in your Account Issues (A.I.) Thread.

Thanks.

Just wanted to add that one or two uploaders are getting the imdb bug which appears to have come back. I've passed this info on to Winston, the TPB Admin.
