Torrents do not show up
#1
Ive tried to browse a users account that I know have uploaded many torrents but when I browse the user I get the message "Your search did not match any torrents."
Cant even search for the user with this: perfect_stan
This have happened on several users now and my patience have run out. Please, please fix it already.

The user: https://thepiratebay.org/user/perfect_stan/

There's nothing to fix. That user doesn't exist anymore. Either the user was banned, or changed their username to another nick.

Then why doesnt the site say so instead?!

So why cant you search torrents published by a specific user? The torrents are still there from him and are alive.

Normally, the only time you can't browse an uploaders torrents when you click on their username is when their account has been locked.

Crew lock accounts for several reasons: the uploader has been naughty and we need to get their attention; we suspect their account has been hacked; or, the uploader has requested full account deletion.

In the case of a hacked account, crew will remove any crap torrents that have been indexed, leave the legit ones be, then lock the account to prevent it from being accessed again.

In the case of account deletion, it's possible the uploader was being hounded by legal threats and asked us to delete his account + torrents. TPB is loathe to remove healthy, legit torrents that are well seeded, so often we'll orphan off the torrents to a different username, remove all traces of the uploader from that account, then lock it. This keeps the original uploader happy, and means those healthy torrents can still be downloaded and enjoyed by others.

Both cases would explain why you can't browse their other torrents when clicking on their username, but you can still find their torrents on TPB.

Greetings all. I am new here. First off, I am HUGELY grateful to TPB for all the outstanding uploads over the past few years. I am hugely indebted to this site.

I would like to pick up on this issue and point out that it has nothing to do with the user being banned. The issue is strictly technical: Ever since the recent changes in TPB, it appears that torrents for all usernames which have underscores in them cannot be listed when you click on the username. To use the above example, all torrents uploaded by perfect_stan should be listed under:
https://thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=user:perfect_stan

We see no torrents. And yet, when we search for one of the torrents uploaded by perfect_stan, we do get results:
https://thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=As...tion&cat=0

Other examples of usernames with underscores in them, together with torrents they posted:
https://thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=us..._me_ur_man
https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=3792223

https://thepiratebay.org/search.php?q=user:Ching_Liu
https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=9454867

The issue is strictly technical. Would admin please have a look at this issue and resolve it so that all usernames with underscores in them can have their torrents listed again under their respective usernames? There are after all a LOT of users who have underscores in their names, and it is EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT, if not downright impossible, to locate all their uploads without clicking on their usernames and seeing their uploads.

Also, when searching for anything, there is no page 2, page 3, page 4 etc of search results. The search results are partial since only the first page of results is shown. For example, when browsing through the most recently uploaded videos in the "Videos" category, we should get hundreds of pages of results, and yet only the first page is shown without numbered paginations at the bottom of the page to denote the other pages of results (1,2,3,4,5,6.....):

Can this issue be addressed too?

I've uploaded to FLAC audio but it's not showing up. It's been about 60 min.

i see where soundping is coming from.i can upload a torrent but cannot find it for 2DAYS.  when i search for any torrent, the latest one is always 2 days before.  i made an error in a torrent today but will have to wait that long to put a message in to torrent to say what the error is.  even searching for my own torrent only shows up to 2 days before.

can this be fixed?many thanks

Admin, please take note of my earlier post about torrents by usernames containing underscores not listing, and also that there are no paginations numbers for the search results, which means that only the first page of search results is accessible. I've explained it as best as I can in my first post in this thread. I hope the issues can be resolved, since they appear to have come about with the most recent changes in TPB.
