Torrent stopped seeding because of one file!

You lost a tiny portion of the file due to corruption, thus the need to run chkdsk. That is why you no longer have 100% of the file.

In a healthy swarm the pieces you are missing would be downloaded to you. However, if the torrent was never fully seeded
to completion, and if no one in the swarm has the pieces you need, you, as the initial seeder, will never get them.

Firstly, stop creating new threads for the same problem. It creates confusion (for you as much as for the people trying to help you, who may not know about your earlier threads). I've merged the three threads you have created so far. /Admin

Secondly, as for your torrent, it is almost certainly fucked beyond repair.

There is just one, small, chance.

Can you obtain a second copy of Cat's Don't Dance from wherever you downloaded it from in the first place? Or perhaps you have copied to another hard drive, or burned a copy to DVD? Or given a copy to a friend? Or have an old backup the hard drive the existing copy is on.

If you can obtain an exact copy of the file as it was before the corruption occurred then it might be possible to patch the torrent. [Don't try patching it just yet, just let us know whether you can obtain a copy of the Cat's Don't Dance file.]

In that case, you could consider deleting the Cat's Don't Dance file (or moving it to a different folder), creating a new torrent from the existing folder, uploading it, and posting a comment on your old torrent explaining that it's no longer being seeded and that people should use the new torrent instead.

Hopefully, all new downloaders will start with the new torrent, and all the old downloaders, when they get tired of waiting for the old torrent to finish, as it never will, and go back to the old torrent to request a reseed or post a complaint will see the instructions, transfer to the new torrent, and complete their downloads.

On the other hand, you might want to reconsider totally. As I explained previously, that torrent is ridiculously large. You could just torrent the individual movies instead.

We all tried to help but the best advice so far is, don't make such a large torrent. For several reasons. A smaller torrent will be downloaded faster, a smaller torrent will be distributed faster, and if something does go wrong it will be easier to make a new torrent. Like Sid said, torrent the individual movies instead and you won't have so many problems.

I would take a look into this thread: https://pirates-forum.org/Thread-4000-Se...What-to-do

You don't help. I'm quite sure you don't know what you are doing. Stop.

What joew said.

This thread is over a year old.
