Can someone please explain why I keep getting the following message when I click on the Upload Torrent link?

The server at uploadbay.org can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed.


I was getting the same message on the .gd domain, so swapped to the .se domain and am still getting the same message on it. I tried clearing my cache and that didn't help.

uploadbay.org  is on Clienthold as is the .vg .la .mn and .gd domains the workaround for now is to access the pirate bay via the the existing .se domain as the redirects were removed and TPB is operating exclusively from the .se domain for the time being.

As for uploadbay.org you will have to modify your hosts file to add a record for uploadbay.org:


104.28.18.67 uploadbay.org
104.28.19.67 uploadbay.org

Okay, I know you didn't ask me but still, any help is good help right
So hosts file is located on your system disk... So that's usually the C one right?
So you need to go to:
- Computer
- C drive
- Windows folder
- Locate the folder System32
- In "System32" folder locate "drivers" folder
- In "drivers" folder locate "etc" folder
- There you'll se hosts file
So in short you need to go to:
- C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Edit the hosts file with notepad but first copy and paste it to your desktop cause you wont be able to save it in etc folder....
So when you copy paste the hosts folder to desktop edit it with notepad and add:

104.28.18.67 uploadbay.org

104.28.19.67 uploadbay.org

After you add that you'll figure out where save it and copy paste that from desktop to etc folder and replace it. That's it. Hope this helps sorry for the detailed info but it's so you get everything right

Google is your friend, but it depends on your operating system,

For Windows 7 and Windows Vista

1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
   
2. Right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
   
3. Click Continue on the Windows needs your permission UAC window.
   
4. When Notepad opens, click File > Open.
   
5. In the File name field, type C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts.
   
6. Click Open.
   
7. Make the necessary changes to the file by adding either 104.28.18.67 uploadbay.org or 104.28.19.67 uploadbay.org
   
8. Click File > Save to save your changes.
   

For Windows 8

1. Press the Windows key.
   
2. Type Notepad in the search field.
   
3. In the search results, right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
   
4. In Notepad, open the following file: c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
   
5. Make the necessary changes to the file by adding either 104.28.18.67 uploadbay.org or 104.28.19.67 uploadbay.org
   
6. Click File > Save to save your changes.
   

For Windows 10

To edit the HOSTS file we need to use a method that allows us to save the file to it’s original location, which is:
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

     1. To do so, copy the HOSTS file to your Desktop.

     2. Open the copy from your Desktop in Notepad.
     3. Make the necessary changes to the file by adding either 104.28.18.67 uploadbay.org or 104.28.19.67 uploadbay.org  
     4. Next, copy and paste the file to its original location (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc)
     5. You will be asked if you want to overwrite the file. Choose Replace the file in the destination.
     6. Windows will ask for Administrator permissions. Click Continue to save your changes.
