Arrival has very good critics, but it's really bad.
It's the recurrent deus ex machina and sci-fi problem. So people can't understand alien language, ok. Chinese are violent and idiotic subhumans that "declare war on aliens" because "use weapon". ok. BUT, how the unsolvable problem is solved? i.e. how alien language is deciphered? Well, the chick can "see the future". WOW. So she has "flash forwards", and by them she "remembers" what she doesn't already know, but at the same time she knows, because she sees the future. What a ridiculous nonsensical garbage. Why can she see the future? What's the fucking point?

Dunkirk ranks up there for me.
Given the critical raves, I went into it with very high expectations but left disappointed. Despite some very good sequences, the film, for me, was marred by mind-numbing repetition. You could easily fall asleep for 20 minutes and not miss anything of substance in terms of the plot. Great subject, poor execution.

I couldn't finish inception. It's a boring nonsensical garbage.
The last one of batman, the one with bane, is absurd too. The pseudopolitical gibberish is laughable, as profound and relevant as obama.

Same thing. And another Nolan movie, "Interstellar". What a pile of nonsense that was. Also any of the MCU movies except maybe for the first Captain America movie, and the first Avengers movie. The rest of them were crap, including the first Iron Man movie which everyone seems to love for some unknown reason. |
