BTW: I'm starting to think that Trump shut down the govt to shut down the FBI and judiciary.

In Trump's twisted mind, maybe that's what he thinks!    The fact is that the FBI, Department of Justice, and the courts are still funded and have been well in advance.  As for The White House, if this shutdown lasts long enough imagine what will happen when Trump's own staff are no longer getting paid. Sarah Sanders will probably be the first to quit!

I don't care about the NASA space program. I always felt that was an unnecessary taxpayer expense.  What's strange about that is that Trump wanted a "Space Force", and now that's even less likely to happen! I'm much more concerned with food safety. We need the FDA first an foremost!

The crack in the dike here will be once the billionaires are unable to get on a commercial flight, when the air traffic controllers lose their pay and their jobs! Maybe then McConnell at least will act.   It's a damned shame the Senate doesn't allow a forced vote.  Even the U.S. House has a Discharge Petition option.

That just applies to federal courts.  It will be interesting to see if state courts can take up some of those cases in the interim.

If not then they'll just have to be left on the docket until the shutdown ends.

Another one with a five year update. Well, this was such an outragious act that nobody even talks about it any more...

Trump was fighting libtards and never Trumpers that didn't want a border wall. His own people were dragging their feet about telling Trump how to get his funding. So Trump shut down to gain $5 billion for the wall. Eventually Democraps agreed to work out a deal if Trump ended the shutdown. Well the Democraps went into trick mode and Trump was getting nowhere. But his people finally show him how to get funding by declaring an emergency. Then $5 billion became available to him for the wall construction. Democraps were outraged, but Trump build more wall anyway.

So now we got what we got. Wall welded open, 10 millions illegals, and over $1 Trillion spent dealing with all these illegals. Trump wanted $15 Billion and they should have given it to him. I knew all that 5 years ago. Libtards are simply wrecking our economy so that can say our taxes are too low and that is the problem. If the fates allow, Trump will dig us out of some of this.
