Thanks. Believe it or not when The Sword and the Sorcerer came out it not only got great reviews but Siskel and Ebert compared it favorably to Star Wars. The old newspaper ads with quotes from critics are probably on Pinterest.

I was surprised there is evidently a 4k version.
I have been challenged on getting any high-quality film sources other than what I find through torrents. I don't have a 4k disk burner/extractor. I also don't have the internet speed to try recording in HD.
I finally realized people are apparently using amazon and other services to download encrypted videos they rent or buy. Then use software to unencrypt the video. I assume this is how "web rips" are mostly accomplished from 4k sources.
This seems like a great way to acquire rare and or higher quality sources for riff upgrades such as this film in 4k which doesn't seem to be anywhere but on amazon to rent or buy.
I haven't had the time or internet bandwidth to verify this theory. I encourage the community to test this or other methods..... and start posting source material for me to upgrade with.

Actually, The Sword and the Sorcerer was released on 4K Blu-ray. I might be able to get a digital 4K copy if that's something you're interested in. It would be a large file.

Probably an uncompressed file that would be in the 50G-60G range.

I've never really had much success when I tried to do that with video files.
I'll see if I can track down a 4K copy.

Handy if you are looking for a remux 4K copy of this, you should be able to use the search engine in qbittorrent and grab the FGT scene release. I already synced the riff audio with that release, the ac3 file can be found in my 4K thread.
