Sputnik quoted the UN Information Centre in Moscow as saying that “After detailed discussions in Moscow between representatives of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Russian Defense and Foreign Ministries, which took place in parallel with similar negotiations in Ukraine, the first humanitarian convoy successfully headed yesterday to the Ukrainian city of Sumy and delivered 130 tons of aid to the affected population in the region.”

Russia delivers 250 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine and Donbass

Russian emergencies ministry has delivered 250 tons of humanitarian cargos to Ukraine and Donbass.

Tass quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that “On March 20, a convoy of 24 heavy-duty trucks from the Russian emergencies ministry’s Noginsk and Don rescue centers delivered another batch of some 250 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes, which included food products and articles of daily necessity, to Donbass and Ukraine.”

Russian emergencies ministry regularly delivers humanitarian assistance to areas in Ukraine and Donbass to help the affected civilians.

Russia delivers 75 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Kherson - Defense Ministry

Russian servicemen delivered more than 75 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Kherson, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters.

"Another humanitarian aid from Russia has been delivered to the city of Kherson (Ukraine) for local residents. Trucks, accompanied by Russian military personnel, brought more than 75 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the regional capital for residents of Kherson and nearby settlements," the Defense Ministry said.

The ministry noted that the Russian military gave food kits to everyone in need, including essential products: cereals, pasta, sugar, canned food, potatoes, fruits and other foodstuffs.

"Currently, stores and food markets are opening in the city of Kherson, but local entrepreneurs sharply inflate prices for essential goods due to a lack of food. Most city residents cannot buy food, given that the government and employers have stopped paying wages and social allowances," the ministry stressed. That is why a lot of residents of Kherson and the Kherson region daily come to the points where they can receive humanitarian aid from Russia, the ministry added.

Seven humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) and in southern Ukrainian regions on Friday in order to deliver 361 tonnes of humanitarian aid to civilians, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said.

"On May 20, 2022, seven humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions, during which 361 tonnes of daily essentials and foodstuffs were distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters in Ukraine.

"For a significant part of Ukrainians forgotten and betrayed by their criminal authorities, Russian humanitarian aid remains basically the only chance to survive," Mizintsev stressed.

Russia delivers over 5,000 tonnes of medicines to DPR, LPR in eight years: Minister

Russia has delivered a total of over 5,000 tonnes of medicines to the Donbass republics over the past eight years, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told reporters on Saturday during his work trip to Belgorod.

"We have already supplied the LPR and DPR (the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics - TASS) with a total of more than 5,000 tonnes of medicines," he said adding he was speaking about the past eight years.

In addition, Murashko said over 200,000 people were provided with medical treatment.

"Our professionals carry out telemedicine consultations. We take critical patients and kids in need of high-tech treatment as well. This interaction, this humanitarian mission is our priority every day," he said.

Russia has also allocated funds to provide medicines and necessary assistance to those arriving in Russia from Donbass.

"Russia has allocated additional funds for both medicines and emergency aid. Planned medical treatment and emergency medical help should be provided to everyone," Murashko concluded.

"On May 21, 2022, five humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Kharkov and Zaporozhye Regions, during which 290 tonnes of daily essentials and foodstuffs were distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters in Ukraine.

Mizintsev added that the public organization ‘Union of Women of Russia’ had collected more than 1,000 tonnes of food and medicines to send to Russian soldiers.

"Five humanitarian operations were conducted during the past day in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, in the Kharkov and Zaporozhye regions. A total of 352 tonnes of humanitarian aid were distributed among people," he said.

According to Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine, since March 2, a total of 24,342.3 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes have already been delivered to Ukraine by Russia. As many as 1,078 humanitarian operations have been conducted.

"Eight humanitarian operations are being conducted on June 8, 2022 in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, in the Kharkov and Kherson regions, in which 537 tonnes of essentials and food are distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine.

Since March 2, a total of 27,976.7 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes, including essentials, food, medicines and medical products, have been delivered to Ukraine by Russia. As many as 1,130 humanitarian operations have been conducted.
