The Mads Are Back

Great news about the possible joining with Rifftrax. Fans have wanted that for AGES. It'll be worlds better than selling Cinematic Titanic DVDs out of Trace's basement!

I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one who can barely stand to listen to their podcast because of her. She seems like a perfectly nice person and I'm sure she's fun and funny in her own way, but let her do that on her own podcast maybe since she's not one of "The Mads".

It's bad enough that I'd honestly thought about trying to edit her out of episodes, but since I thought I'd just be doing it for me (and it would require me listening to the episodes in their entirety anyway) there wasn't much point.

Edit: Also, that's great news about Trace and Frank possibly releasing their own riffs through Rifftrax!

I went to a show this past July 3rd where Carolina, Frank and a couple of other comedians riffed on Independence Day. Carolina was belting out funny lines like nobody's business. She was great. I've seen her stand up routine as well, very funny. Plus I met and chatted with her a number of times. She's a very nice lady.

I have no idea why she was a necessary addition.  If it weren't for her it might be my favorite podcast, but as it is I can't even listen to it, she's fucking terrible.

I sound really mad about it, seriously go listen to it, she's just a cringe fest and she stops actual experts from talking about the films.  Otherwise an extremely informative and interesting listen.

You're just an asshole. She's great and she lends lends an interesting insight to these two old blowhards I've been listening to for nearly 30 years now.

Carolina is fine, I've had to take a break from the podcast because I can't take any more Marvel movies talk and Frank talking incessantly just to repeat himself

I would love some RiffTrax Presents from Trace and Frank.  I really like Mary Jo and Bridget.  Sometimes I think that  Mike, Kevin and Bill do too many riffs (and have been for too many years) and are honestly burnt out.  The riffs they try on like the live ones or big ones like Roadhouse are still very funny, but I often don't make it through a lot of their day to day riffs anymore.

You know what they say about opinions.

With regard to the Mads podcast, I like Frank a lot, but he dominates it. If he gave Trace equal time it would work. The woman hosting is fine.

I agree with the Rifftrax Presents sentiments, Mary Jo and Bridget are great - I think what Rifftrax as a whole needs is variety. Back in the day they had some guests on, or maybe you got just one or two of the Rifftrax guys.

It may be worth remembering that comedy is the hardest thing to do.

I'd also like to see the return of guest riffers. One of absolute favorites of Rifftrax is Willy Wonka with NPH. His delivery is great. Merely having some of that variety would definitely help.

Personally, I just started listening to the podcast that I had no idea was out there and I've gone through five so, unless the other 40+ are crap because of a change in her input and tone, I have to side with Carolina in this cause I think she good. She's by no stretch Frank or Trace which only shines brighter on these podcasts in my eyes (god I had no idea how much of a knowledge pot Frank was, I had heard he was but, man, he blows me away with all the stuff he knows) but she holds her own, to me with them.

And everyone, please...please...lets just not be mean if we can help it, just for a little while...too much of that these days. As the recently listened to podcast of this show quoted Peter Weller as the amazing Buckaroo Banzai: "Don't be mean..."
