The Little Mermaid (blu-ray upgrade)

Enjoy this little oddity the way it should be seen, as there are few things that make me as wistful as restored high-budget 70's anime. Normally I don't do comparison pics too often but i think this deserves a special mention for how much of an upgrade this is, Rifftrax apparently got an ancient 16mm transfer or something as it is faded as hell with lots of scratches on top of being 4:3 and gives a very bad first impression, but now we are looking at something approaching of Castle of Cagliostro. As for the movie itself, hopefully this increased quality will help you power through to get to the batshit ending as it is well worth the price of admission!

And don't forget to check out the original Japanese audio on track 3 for at least the opening credits as you get a great little proto-City Pop jam, the bastards stripped the lyrics from the English dub (track 2) like heathens.

Thanks Bill.t.f.!

As if early Japanese anime needs any help being unintentionally funny!

Always appreciate your upgrades!!!
