Tag generator?

First, not sure if thisĀ  is the right spot for such request, if it's not, my apologies.

On topic, I am looking for a way of generating every possible combination of words obtained of a phrase or tittle, something that would make easier to make search tags to fill the "Tag" input box when uploading a torrent, instead of typing every possible combination in order reach out all kinds of searches related to what's being searched.

As an example, the tags on this torrent

Basically what I'm searching is an easier way of generate those tags and copy paste them, instead of having to type every possible combination.

Thank you all in advance!

I saw your torrent using long Tag and some were taken from combination Title.
I don't know much about Tag & Torrent, so I have little question.

Why the Tag taken from combination Title, does it really help?
If so, it sounds like a "Keyword".

Sorry if I'm wrong post Big Grin

the pirate bay searching utilizes the tags in order to provide better search results, at least this is the explanation that has been given to me, with proper tags, a simple search may result in a large variety of results.

TPB search just does search on the words in the title.
For instance, search the word 'mirroring'. You will not see the above torrent in the search results, although the tag 'mirroring' is present in that torrent.

As to the original question, given an input string, it should not be too difficult to generate word combinations.
Here is one module which can do it in Perl. Am sure there are other ways.
Algorithm::Combinatorics

Not all combinations will be useful tags. So you will have to cull the output.

A recursive algorithm can be used to generate Permutations/Combinations.
It should be possible to get the code online and create an exe. I don't have an immediate reference for it. Will update if I find.

Oh, so in that case, what I was trying to achieve with the tags, seems pretty much useless, I can't remember exactly but I was told that TPB search used the tags.

Yeah, this came into my mind, certain combinations might not make any sense whatsoever.

Thanks SectorVector!

A long time ago, TPB used to include more than just the title in the search. When the database grew too big, the TPB search engine imploded, so it was restricted to just searching the title.

Tags are now just clickable links to a list of other torrents that were uploaded with the same tag.

Other search engines that crawl TPB might return results based on the tags people use.
