Suggestions/Favorite ***B&W Riffs***
#1
So, I usually go for the 70's flicks and blockbuster riffs, but am kinda burnt out on those.
Idea What are your favorite "old movie" (read: B&W) movie riffs?

I've gone through most of them, like the Teenagers and Sherlock Holmes flicks and some of the others, but I'm hoping y'all might point out some gem I have overlooked. Can be RT, MST, or any of the other riffers out there.

Cheers!

For Rifftrax, I always enjoy:

Killers from Space (terrible quality print, but funny)
Carnival of Souls
Attack of the Puppet People
Missile to the Moon (colorized)
Wizard of Oz (not B&W, but one of my favorites)

For MST3K:

The Giant Gila Monster
Teenagers From Outer Space
I Accuse My Parents
Bride of the Monster
Beginning of the End
Any of the Coleman Francis films
Night of the Blood Beast
The Brute Man
I Was a Teenage Werewolf

I'll stop there.  Hope that helps!

The Amazing Colossal Man
War of the Colossal Beast
The Brute Man
The Horror of Spider Skull Island (not guaranteeing you will like this one)

If interested:
The first two are added to the GaryInMotion compendium that can be found here:

The Brute Man was recently given the GIM treatment by our crew:

The Devil's Hand. One of my favourites.

(bald character): "I can't get over it!"
(Kevin riff): "having hair on top of one's head, it's amazing!"

Solid list good sir!

So many of these I haven't seen in a very long time and, frankly, forgot about. The Wizard of Oz is going to the top of the list as it is *totally* in the spirit of what I was looking for. Teenagers is an all time favorite.  And, IDK what anyone says...that Betty, yo.

Adding all of these to the list, minus the Coleman Francis films. LOL No amount of riffs make those palatable!

Side note, The Brute Man became a favorite of mine since I realized its connection to one of my all time favorite films, The Rocketeer  It will always be official Rocketeer head-cannon to me. Cool

Excellent suggestions.  That Brute Man CE is going in the number two spot, it's been too long since I've seen my favorite Rocketeer character in his own flick!

And She Demons is now on the list, love the ladies' riffs.

Added!  Thank you.

I put that on last night after making this post!  Excellent suggestion for old school cheese. The plot was complete and utter bollocks, but it made sense in the world of the movie and that always makes me appreciate the riffs even more.  An older riff, it's highly suggested to anyone who hasnt seen it in a while. Thanks, Count.  "Great minds" and all of that...or something. Smile

Thanks OldSkoolRulah for pointing out The Dead Talk Back.  I can't believe I forgot that one as it's one of my favorites.

JetJaguar73 - YES.  I also have my own head canon about the Rocketeer/Brute Man connection.  Glad I'm not the only one!

Right!? It's the perfect side-story.  It's the Loki series to The Rocketeer's Avengers.

on a sidenote, 70s riffs are my favourite. I wish they do them more often. Also some 40s movies.

Not only b/w but hilarious as well: MST3k The Thing that couldn't die / Deadly Mantis / and Bloodlust.

Rifftrax : Brainiac / Devil Girl from Mars and Giant from the Unknown

Brainiac is the type that MST and Rifftrax do that I really love - poorly dubbed foreign films with really lame 'super heroes' like Prince of Space, Warning from Space, Bloody Pit, Samson, etc etc etc...
