Don't wanna rant on every torrent's comments, likely useless anyways, and IDK where else to put this one, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't crop stuffs so much, specially cam video source, the current average of ~300 lines tall for hot movies is minuscule on my(at least) viewing setup. Many action flicks, for example, are so tight to the actor/center of the movie you can't really see the folks kick-assing or how high someone jumps or the action so much. I know you're just trying to make the result look best for the most folks and gotta work with what source files you get and all that, I'm an old hand and don't mean to ruffle any feathers or insult anyone, totally appreciate the heck outta everyone's work <tophat> but I suspect lots of folks would put up with slightly shakier and messier vids with more content in them. At least I would, and it's gotten annoying enough for me that I just don't bother grabbing anything but blu-ray rips most of the time.
Just my 2 cents, thanks for your time (and effort if you're an uploader).

For cam releases hi-res and wide plane are better. After recording, there's more room to edit and the final result is way more watchable.
But cams will be always a bad deal for one high quality A/V system. If you're used to BD on 4K/7.2, better forget cams.

People watch cams? Have to say there is no reason not to wait three months for a proper blu-ray rip. If you desperately have to see a movie (unlikely since most modern movies are garbage) buy a $10 ticket.

+1
I have to admit though you're totally right but sometimes you do get good movies that are modern. Depends on what floats your boat really we're all different and have different tastes. It makes sense really to just sit around and wait until an uploader like me for example (if it's a big release) to do a proper rip of the movie (like I've done recently with the new Thor movie for example) and just watch it then in full quality as it should be. Watching Cams IMO is a terrible way to experience a movie. If you download these cam rips you're just encouraging these spam bot uploaders who don't care about quality and are just after loads of leechers. They don't care about trying to make the quality look nice with nice sound they just want to gain attention by uploading something new that totally lacks any real quality that compares to a real original product.

You're not ruffling any feathers or insulting anyone but, frankly, your position is absurd.
Some uploaders strive for speed above all, because some downloaders want the very latest things the instant they are available (if not earlier). They are not going to slow down to take more care because the people they are serving don't want them to take one second longer than is necessary.
Other uploaders strive for quality, because some some downloaders want good stuff. They are not going to cut corners to get stuff out quicker because the people they are serving don't want them to.
You cannot have your cake and eat it. Sure I would like to see the next Star Wars movie NOW, before they've even filmed it, in Blu-ray quality. But I'm not silly enough to ask for it or to "suggest" to uploaders that they do a better job at providing me with it.
If you're not satisfied with cams, don't download 'em. Expecting them to be high quality is just dumb.

Agreed with your position as a whole, but this last part may be inaccurate. "Higher quality" is the goal if I got it right, and it seems possible.
I've seem a few cams with higher resolution, encoding quality and file size; based on that experience I said the result is more watchable.
Maybe I'm technically wrong and the guys just used some upscaling and cleaning up; can't tell wich camera and recording mode they used.
But those torrents looked much better than average.

OK, sure, everyone can "do better", even Olympic gold medal winning athletes have coaches; and every world record ever set is better than the previous best of all time.
But "do better, you guys who are risking fines and/or jail time huddling in the dark trying to secretly film movies without getting caught so that I can watch them for free in the comfort of my own living room the same day they are released on the other side of the world because I'm not willing to wait a few weeks?"
Meh, no cammers ever visit this forum anyway so knock yourselves out with your ridiculous requests.
Guys, use tripods ffs. Right in the middle of the theater. Get there early so you can be first in to get the good seats and give yourself plenty of time to set everything up. Bring a torch so that you can see clearly what you're doing and work methodically through a checklist so that you ensure you click every button. Film the ads at the start of the movie and then play them back so you can check everything is OK before the actual movie starts. If people sit in front of you ask them to move so their heads won't get in the way of your shot. Ask everyone in the theater not to laugh or talk too loud. Make sure you stay filming until the credits end, even if you're the last one in the theatre, so that you don't miss out on any end-of-credits scenes. And check your work before you upload-if anything is wrong go back and film it again. And do it that day because you know I'm waiting. Oh, and don't get caught because I need you to get me another movie next week.

Yeah, me too.
The title is "suggestion". I'd like the new trend to become standard, why not? Let the kids be kids, Mr. Sid!
Obviously we want it all, direct line UHD A/V before public release. It is the game for the cammers.
I suppose soon some mobile phones will be good enough to bootleg movies; remove camera, connect some wire, hide it in your jacket and there you go...
4K @ 60 or even 120 FPS with low light capability. Will take some time, but then everyone will be able to do it. Then we'll stop asking

Lots of work goes into cams and it is a risky business.
Be grateful with something that nothing (even if you have to wait for something better).
