State of the WWE in fourth quarter 2022

Ever since Vince stepped down as CEO and instated Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan as Co-CEOs as Triple H takes charge on numerous administrative responsibilities, things have been changing.

Out of nowhere, you are seeing snubbed WWE talents coming back left and right, people saying that storylines are actually making sense, the matches are more bearable, and it leads me to to actually see a glimmer of hope for the company after all, if a little glimmer. Hey, at least they got rid of the 24/7 Title which had no value. While I understand it's for comic relief, the idea was overused, and it wore out. (See: WWF Hardcore Title in 2000)

On the same token, there's also the not optimistic side: WWE continuing to strengthen ties with the corrupt Saudi government and even going to the point of praising them (remember, I'm against the government, not the people), which is a huge thing to consider if you're planning to boycott the product. I am semi-boycotting; I will ignore PPV events from that place, not that any of those PPVs were great at one time. However, it would be a dilemma if Saudi Arabia hosts a Wrestlemania; you can't skip that.

That being said, I do like the side stories of Karl Anderson still being an New Japan Pro Wrestling's Never Openweight heavyweight titleholder and Shinsuke Nakamura going to NOAH to face the Great Muta. It blows my mind that even though WWE severed ties to Japan that things like this happened. I'm confident that Anderson will do the right thing and lose the belt some time. At least he didn't blowtorch the belt on Raw. If he did that, or similar, I think that there will be hell to pay and that he will not be welcome anywhere in NJPW as long as their management is still unchanged

I think that with Triple H in charge of creative, he's doing a great job.  I'm also a big fan of what Vince did and enjoyed the last WM38 very much, the parts where Vince was involved was good and funny.

2).

Saudi Wrestlemania, it will never happen.  Crown Jewel is infact the actual Saudi Mania already where Saudi fans get the chance to watch live shows..  It will never happen in April over in Saudi Arabia because there is too much demand for American fans to attend and they could but wouldn't ever fly all that way across the globe it would be insane.

I think Karl Anderson is not stupid and they wouldn't allow him to do such a thing with a title as it would damage good relations with the rival company in Japan.  Triple H wouldn't allow such a thing on Raw, Triple H just wants to make things better not worse.

Good post Robert, I can't say I agree though about everything as I enjoyed the Vince Era it was fun.  Survivor Series was epic (no spoilers of course) and I look forward to the Rumble in 2023, infact I'm looking forward to that more than anything else in the next couple of months..

You know RodneyYouPlonker, I've always found you to be very interesting, where you really can't be disappointed when trying to enjoy wrestling, more like easygoing.

Where people get turned off about things done in the Vince era, you like it just fine.

Then when it comes to technical issues, you're on either side of the coin, and not both, stuff like GNU/Linux and Windows.

Interesting indeed.
