Single hyphen in search field
#1
Suppose I'm looking for "Tiny4k - Sydney Cole". I copy and paste that title from other page or select it and use my browser's context menu to search.
Then I land on
https://thepiratebay.se/search/Tiny4k%20...ney%20Cole
No results Sad
But if I remove a hyphen it finds few correct results:
https://thepiratebay.se/search/Tiny4k%20Sydney%20Cole

Can you treat a single hyphen (minus, dash etc) as a whitespace character?

No, because the dash has special meaning: it is used to exclude keywords from the search results.

Don't use it in your search unless you intentionally want to specify what not to include in the results.

Most boolean search operators, in most search engines, only have effect if they are preceded by a space or new line character *and* there is an alphanumeric character following.

True, but it's still not going to happen, and it would be a dumb idea anyway as hyphens are not used consistently and neither their presence nor absence does anything to meaningfully improve the search results.
