Hi, im looking for some tips on how i can fine tune my search.

I wanna serach for content by a specific user and only in a specific catagory

I read TPB manual and it says that i can narrow it down with uploader:name variable on the search but that one does not work.

I don't think there's an easy solution using Search.
Instead, find the uploader's page, ie. https://thepiratebay.se/user/godcanjudgeme for mine.
Click on TYPE at the top of the left column, then click through the pages till you find the category you're looking for.
Unless someone has a better suggestion.

There is no "TPB manual" and TPB has never supported "uploader:name" searches.

Post a link to whatever it was you read so we can see what else is wrong.

gcjm's suggestion is one workaround.

You could also google for godcanjudgeme Audio Flac site:thepiratebay.se intitle:download

I was guest posting the link aswell: http://thepiratebay.se/blog.php?id=33

Problem is if i use your method is that when i click the TYPE as you suggest when i am at your page, it will reset and start looking at *.* and all users showing up content in that category, not only you.

Ahh, instead of clicking the actual type i can click the column header name TYPE, got it. Yeah that one acrually work. Still pretty messy thou to browse the content with without getting more search variables in there.

That is from 2006.

The search functionality has been significantly changed in the 8 years since then, and not necessarily for the better.

The current TPB search will only look for the keywords in the torrent title. Anything more involved than that is better handled by something other than TPB.

torrentz.eu
torrents.fm
btdigg.org

google
bing

etc...

Oh! My bad: should never say "never".

But, yeah, kjf is right--although it apparently did work that way in the past, it hasn't worked that way for many years now.
