Rifftrax you can't sit all the way through

Rollergator (had to take it in shifts), Yambao, & The Beast of the Yellow Night....stopped them and just can't seem to get the desire to finish them up.

MST3K's 'Santa Clause Conquers the Martians'. 1960s entertainment that did anything but entertain. I constantly fall asleep with that one. Thank you code gods for VLC (watch at 2x speed and still catch the dialogue and jokes).

I puked after drinking too much at a get-together while watching Samurai Cop and associated the film with vomit each time I tried to rewatch it. Finally managed to finish it, though. I couldn't finish The Apple either, but I'm not so hot on musicals.

I can't believe people can't enjoy Rollergator and Samurai Cop! Those are in my top 10 easily, Rollergator is amazing.

The ones I can never get through are usually MST3K, namely Space Travellers, Black Scorpion, and Hamlet. Twilight, Harry Potter and Star Wars I don't think I've ever bothered watching, despite having them for years... except Star Wars 4.5, I will sometimes just throw on the Starship song just to rock out

But it does make an excellent movie to put on when you want to fall asleep

Hamlet knocks me out in 15 minutes or less every time. Safe, effective, non-habit forming Big Grin

http://www.redlettermedia.com has good reviews of movies like that one and even has an interview with the main actor. All their stuff is on youtube. They're amazing.

I don't know why but I actually like that one. Sure, it's not Manos, Prince of Space, or even Birdemic which are like rights of passage, but it has some charm.

I do have a few I've never watched though, I think the last Twilight one, Saw, maybe some of the musicals (although The Apple is okay for how fucked up it is despite the reviews here Cool ).

Surprisingly, I've never had a Riff I couldn't finish. MST3K or otherwise.

Been a few I have no desire to go back to though. Iron Man comes to mind; most of it's funny, but the cheap shots at RDJ are cringe. The guys are better than that.

The only one I gave up on was Avengers. It was such a total snorefest that I couldn't make it past the twenty-minute mark.

I have to echo the sentiments about Rollergator; it might just be the worst RT ever. I watched the first 10 minutes and turned it off, never to return, Fun in Balloon Land was another -- I think lasted 10 minutes with that and it's running time is less than an hour. I also just turned off To Catch a Yeti at a certain point (pretty early on). I have never attempted Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny . That's about it for RT.

With MST3K, to this day I have always fallen asleep during the Russo-Finnish epics and can't remember what happens in the middle of them. I don't think I've ever finished Castle of Fu Manchu. It was rough going but I did make it all the way through Hamlet. While I have seen all of Tormented I still usually fall asleep during it. Never willfully turned off an episode of MST3K: more so either just tuned it out and did other things, or fell asleep.

I very much agree on Rollergator. It's scraping the bottom of what can be called a "movie".

it's not a movie, i don't know what you call that but it's definitely not a movie. my sentiments are the same as virtually everyone in here, i made it through 10 minutes before even MKB couldn't stop the visual ipecac that is rollergator. it is the one and only rifftrax AND mst3k that i have ever just simply turned off and deleted from my hard drive, never to even think of it again until this thread. btw thanks guys now i can feel my breakfast coming back up   =P   no srsly tho i like to think that someone a few degrees from Rifftrax HQ every now and then reads things like this to get the opinions from the hardcore fans lacking disposable income aka the pirates, hopefully they will read this thread, please for the love of all that is holy never Rollergator us again
