Rifftrax Presents: Werewolf in a Girls' Dormitory (1961) - Matt & Ian
#1
They come out at night, they feast on human blood, and they can only be repelled by a crucifix or the odor of garlic. They are, of course, vampires. But nobody ever made a movie about a vampire in a girls' dormitory, so there's this instead.

A lycanthrope is mutilating—okay, not really mutilating. He's kind of savaging—All right, he's not exactly savaging them. The werewolf just kind of nuzzles his schoolgirl victims (none of whom are of schoolgoing age, but not yet ready to retire to Florida, either) until they die in a nonspecific fashion because werewolf.

But who could the werewolf be in his downtime? Is it the creepy teacher? The other creepy teacher? The other other creepy teacher? Or could it be the creepy janitor? Grab a round of silver bullets, then join the Brit-Riffers and find out!

Something you should know:

Contains a brief scene of simulated animal harm involving a dog.

TV High (which is as high as it gets)

Thanks for sharing that. I had no idea how to think or feel until I read it.

Seriously though, if you have an appreciation for British humour then you'll probably enjoy Matt and Ian. Let's see how they did this time...

I agree with Tost. My heart always sinks when I see that the new release is from these guys. But thanks to Kitcastuff for his contribution to this site.

First off- THANK YOU KITCASTUFF! I had no idea this was even released! Many blessings!!!!

I love these guys. Mathew is incredibly funny, clever, gifted, and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE! If you've listened to the MJ & B Talkin Rifftrax, you know what I'm talking about, as he writes riffs for their Holmes movies and more. I for one was pleasantly surprised to see a new "Brit-riff", especially since it's one of my favorite bad 50s movies! Which is one of many reasons I prefer The Mads, MJ & B, and even the Brits - is because of their classic movie choices. I love MKB's short film riffs - but for ME, it's tough to get excited about riffs of things like the talking cat, or santas summer home, or another greydon clark film. I mean - I'm lookin forward to watching Endgame, but not so much that I've watched it yet. What's great is that there's a bit of something for everyone.

I agree with some of your points. My wife isnt a big rifftrax fan, but she prefers that B&MJ riffs because of the different humor style. I am not a huge fan of the brit riffs, but I think they have gotten better now that there are two riffers. Its hard for me to get excited about A Talking Cat, or some of the Greydon Clark stuff. I really prefer the b&w movies. Giant from the Unknown being a great example.

Thanks again kitcastuff! I really enjoy the brit stuff, and think if you took any of the riffs they've done and assigned them to MB&K and have them do the movie folks would consider them classics. It's all in the delivery. The movies the brits riff are far better films and ripe for riffing than MANY of the choices the big guys have done the last couple years.

I'll agree that the Matthew solo riffs are lousy and the first few Matthew and Ian ones were spotty at best.  They have improved greatly and hit their stride starting with Flash Gordon: Purple Death from Outer Space.

The work Matt does behind the scenes, particularly on the Sherlock Holmes films, has been great.

No matter what you think about Matt and Ian, the four person riff (Bridget, Mary Jo, Matt and Ian) of Last Woman on Earth is not to be missed.
