AFAIK, that's the only version available. There was never an official download, and probably never will be (due to their licensing agreement). This month's live showing of Mothra will also not be made available for purchase, so make sure you see it in the theater!

No, there is an official release of both Sharknado and Sharknado 2. I've never seen a download of the official of the first movie around because the satellite feed version of it came out way before and anybody interested had it before then.

Also, if you have Amazon Prime, both Sharknado and Sharknado 2 are available for viewing. I've drunk-watched the first one more times than I can count.
