Rifftrax Checklist/Spreadsheet
#1
Hey gang, I've been a lurker for over a year on this community and am glad it found a new home. An appreciative nod to SuprBay for the asylum and to all of you for being awesome.

Is it possible to make an online spreadsheet or checklist for people to see what they have/what they are missing? I made one a year ago with tabs for features/shorts with columns for quality and version (helpful for Legend films titles and bsg4you's v2s), but I fell behind updating it.

Do any of you have anything like this to keep track?

Wikipedia's List of Rifftrax usually serves me well enough.  TVDB's Rifftrax guide works too, though their concepts of "Seasons" is a little strange.

Yeah, I don't have it anymore because of a HDD loss a while back, but I found a way to export that list as a .csv file and used that for tracking.

My method is to use
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=seasonall&id=102531
and
http://www.filebot.net/
to rename all my files to the tvdb listing, once everything in numbered it's really easy to tell what I'm missing.

So yeah, the best way to do this is to tap the wikipedia pages "tables" and convert them.

http://wikitables.geeksta.net/ is a web based converter,

and the one I used is from the command line, both require cleaning up:

I was searching and happened upon this thread.
I made checklists on ICM some time ago.
They should be complete until January.
They're of course title-based, not RiffTrax-release-based.

My problem is, most of these aren't up to date. There was a good one over on the Rifftrax Fandom site, but it's gone dark in the last couple of months.

I went to https://rifftrax.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_RiffTrax

Dumped it into notepad via copy & paste, removed most of the extra spacing and cleaned up some of the fields (extremely long list of "riffed by" is replaced with et. al. after the major players). There are only a few of these and you will see them once its imported into excel or google sheets (Batman vs Superman has quite a few).

Then put it in google sheets here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

This didn't take much time to do manually but it was tedious and I know that at least Double Dragon isn't on the wiki so its not 100% up-to-date. I want to deal with duplicates (sometimes there is both a rifftrax live version and a regular version, some movies e.g. Road House have been riffed multiple times).

If you'd rather do it "automatically" you can use the following python script:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5269...g-to-a-csv

I used this at the url above inside a jupyter notebook, and it produced the same results except that there are duplicate rows with "movie / riffers / dates" that had to be removed.
