The Bhopal Disaster
Hunting The Corporate Killers (2003)
On December 2, 1984 a toxic gas cloud from the American-owned Union Carbide pesticide factory in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India silently enveloped the surrounding city. The highly poisonous gas, methyl isocyanate, also known as MIC, was used by the factory to make the pesticide Sevin.
The gas ate away at victims’ lungs and throats, causing the deaths of up to 10,000 people. “People were begging to die. They didn’t want to live,” recalls survivor Rashida Bi. Even now 150,000 people are chronically affected. They blame Union Carbide’s former CEO, Warren Anderson, for their suffering and want him to stand trial in India. “It’s not revenge. It’s to show the world that someone like him cannot get off scot-free,” explains Bi. They are angry that none of the plant’s safety systems were working on the night of the accident and countless safety warnings were ignored. Anderson was arrested on charges of culpable homicide but was later released on bail and allowed to leave India. He has never returned. His friends claim he is being persecuted for who he is, not what he did. But if the Chief Executive can’t be held responsible, who can?

The Bhopal Gas Tragedy: Toxic Legacy (2014)
Decades after the worst industrial accident in India's history, many residents of Bhopal feel they were abandoned to suffer its toxic effects after the Bhopal gas tragedy in 1984.

Bhopal: Continuing Legacy Of A Disaster (2024)
Surekha Lakkewar can still remember the evening of December 2, 1984: "Our eyes suddenly started to hurt, as if someone had rubbed chilies into them, and we could hardly breathe." Tons of toxic gases had escaped from the pesticide factory Union Carbide. Thousands of people died, hundreds of thousands were injured. Families cannot forget the Bhopal gas leak of 1984 and struggle with the aftermath up until today.

Documentary
The Origins of AIDS (2004)
Through the investigation of how AIDS began, this highly persuasive film encourages viewers to take a hard look at the often unsafe practices used by the scientific community when creating vaccines. The film explores two theories for the emergence of AIDS. The first is the Hunter Theory, in which humans are believed to have contracted the Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV), a virus that is closely related to HIV, through the hunting and handling of chimpanzees. The second is the theory made visible by Edward Hooper, author of the book, The River, which attempts to link the spread of AIDS to the distribution of the CHAT oral polio vaccine.
In the race to create an oral polio vaccine, scientist Hilary Koprowski manufactured and distributed the CHAT vaccine in the late 1950’s in the Belgian Congo (now the Democratic Republic of Congo). Edward Hooper charges that Koprowski’s vaccine initiated the AIDS pandemic. Hooper’s evidence suggests that this vaccine was created using live tissue cultures, generated from chimpanzee cells, which possibly carried the SIV virus. Millions of Africans were injected with the vaccine and possibly the virus. In the years following the distribution of the vaccine, the Belgian Congo and surrounding areas produced some of the first known cases of AIDS.

The Shocking Evidence Starmer Doesn't Want You to See
Arms factories hit by pro-Palestine protests over the last 15 months were sending supplies to Israel, an investigation by Declassified has found.
The revelation has been called a vindication by Palestine Action, the direct action group which has led efforts to shut down Israel’s war machine in the UK.
Several of the companies are associated with Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms manufacturer which produces many of the drones and missiles used to slaughter Palestinians.
The information is contained within cargo documents obtained by Declassified and The Ditch.
While it remains unclear precisely what was exported, the cargo handling locations combined with UK arms export data strongly suggest the shipments involved weapons parts.
Palestine Action co-founder Huda Ammori told Declassified: “This revelation confirms that taking direct action against the Israeli weapons industry in Britain is a crucial element to resistance against colonialism and genocide”. She continued that the new information “not only exposes these death merchants, it vindicates those who’ve put their liberty on the line to shut them down”.
Dozens of Palestine Action activists have been arrested over the last 15 months, with many still being held on remand or serving prison sentences.
