Bird Paradise In The Volga Delta

This film is an immersion in the natural habitat of many animals. In the Volga Delta, among the dry steppes and sand dunes, a real oasis has appeared. This is bird paradise.

Spring is a nesting time for many birds. There are about 250 species of birds in the Volga Delta. The most anticipated event is a flood. Huge meadows are filled with melt water, becoming a spawning ground for many Volga fish. In the open spaces flooded with water, they arrange a feast for birds.

Summer is the most favorable time in the life of birds. The chicks have grown up, there are fewer worries. Swans, geese and stilts can now feed in peace. In summer, the delta resembles a colorful blanket woven from numerous aquatic plants. The most beautiful and amazing plant is the walnut lotus.

Autumn for birds is a time of wandering. The Volga Delta becomes a hospitable home. Many visitors from the north stop here on their way to the wintering grounds to rest and gain strength.

Every year, in the vastness of the Volga delta, a grandiose performance unfolds with wonderful actors and amazing stories. Here all the roles are the main ones, here everything is interconnected and subordinated to the creative will of the invisible Director.
