I mentioned I might have something later and it turns out I will. I just completed an incredibly tedious but not impossible HD upgrade of this riff (lots of frame differences between the BD and this video). It's still a movie made in 1932 so don't expect miracles, but it'll be a 1080p B&W original. I'll post the link in a new thread first thing tomorrow since it's going to take most of the night to upload.

Surprisingly good shark footage for a movie made during the Hoover administration. But why does the Russian villain speak with a Scottish accent?

I think Bridget must have subbed in at the last minute. There's no acknowledgment of the unusual lineup, and they don't seem to have altered the script at all. I hope Bill comes back soon, but Bridget does a good job here.

They would never do that inside of the movie riff. That kind of housekeeping used to happen in the preamble (in the "Just the Jokes" releases) and now gets done in the Talkin' RiffTrax sessions.

At the very end where they tell people to donate at the rifftrax site there's a line that might have been changed last minute

"Let me see if I can do this guys... and Bridget"

Anyone notice how stiff and robotic the riffing was on this?  It's was aggravating to listen to.  They continually went in order,  mike, then mary joe, then kevin, in that order over and over and over. It felt like they weren't together, just reading jokes then someone edited them into the spot on the movie.

Is this corona?  They recorded separately then had the jokes pasted in?  It reminded me of cinematic titanic the way everything felt so stuff and regimented. I shut it off after 15 minuets, the beat and rhythm of the jokes were so predictable and aggravating.

This is the same reason i HATED the netflix reboot.  IN that show all three character would each make their own joke about the same thing. Over and over and over, one guys, the next guy and the third guy.  over over.  Horrible.

They may have had to record it separately via the internet. It wouldn't surprise me. Might find out in Talkin' Rifftrax this week, if they do one.

I'm watching it now, and there is definitely something off about it. They don't adhere strictly to the one-after-another system, but it's often enough to notice. And it really does seem like *Bridget is phoning it in (which she may be, in a figurative sense). Compared to her usual exuberance, she's dialed wayyyy down on this one, most likely because she is not in the same room as either of the others. But such is life under Corona (I've noticed a couple subtle references to the pandemic in the script, so far). Still laughing, so can't complain too much.
